Ignorant in what way? Ive seen a lot of their work and it sure as hell wasnt the CG that stood out in it. I didnt say they dont do a lot of CG work but its not what they used to be known for.

Really? Which universe is this in? Studio 4C has always been known as one of the most digital studios in Japan. Not that they're really that well known at all, but most of their biggest works are filled with CG. Magnetic Rose? Cannon Fodder? Tekkon Kinkreet? One of the founders of Studio 4C was Koji Morimoto, and he's a director who has always embraced the use of CG as digital effects and background work. Their work in the last few years has been almost entirely focused on doing more stuff in CG. Lots of TV commercials, Rogue Galaxy FMVs, Catherine FMVs, the Berserk movies, etc.

If you asked anyone in Japan who knows anything about anime what Studio 4C is known for, they'll probably say CG hybrid animation. It doesn't mean they're good at it. It just means they do it a lot.

But when it comes to Girls Bravo you have to watch the dub. It's the law or something.

Still don't get hashtags. When do you just write the word and when do you hash it?

The dub is the only form of Girls Bravo that I have watched. I would think it is very cute in Japanese though. I'm just used to popping in DVDs and leaving the english dub default on.

Because even
Rebuild
is better than
End of Evangelion
.

I suppose so, but maybe they are just really good at disguising the CG because I didn't notice it a whole lot at first. They seem to do CG properly when they do do it.
You can laugh all you want but I was mightily impressed more with their hand drawn animation stuff. There is a lot of talent there.

I don't know why you keep mentioning what you are impressed by. It doesn't matter. I'm not disputing any of that. You said that Studio 4C is not known for using a lot of CG, that's a factually incorrect statement. That is what I was laughing at. They are definitely a heavily digital studio who is known for using (bad) CG in pretty much all their works. It's not well disguised either. It's everywhere, even in Thundercats.

I thought you already watched Moyashimon, cajunator? If not, you should, it's really quite good.

No, I haven't. I've been meaning to.

What I had exposure to regarding Studio 4C, was stuff like their animation shorts, Memories, and Mindgame. Most of which seemed to be hand drawn animation.
They also did some work for Animatrix IIRC. The Thundercats and Berserk stuff is way recent and not what Im referring to. They didnt originally ocme across to me as a heavily CG dependent sort of company. I dont know how much has changed because their older stuff is what I know and love. they also did Tweeny Witches, which has some fair use of CG but also excellent animation in it.

Studio 4C did two segments in Memories - Magnetic Rose and Canon Fodder. Both of which used a lot of digital effects. Stink Bomb was produced by Madhouse.

Magnetic rose had CG? I really don't remember that. I guesS I need to watch it again carefully. Cannon Fodder was like one single cut and smooth as silk, so Im not surprised that was CG.

He also said it was 'bigger' so it's clearly JoJo! /baseless speculation

Well, if you take Bahis personal work into account, I can see any producer/director wanting to find something that suits his talents. I honestly think Jojo would be a pretty great fit for him to really strut his stuff.

Yeah, I agree. I'd love to see more of his work anywhere, really, outside of tumblr at least.

SAO raking in that dough.

Wonder when the inevitable Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou anime will happen. Or that shitty Mahouka property.

More so than Bakemonogatari?

Very imaginative lolicons. If trashy novels work middle-aged women, I don't see why it can't work for them!
Lolicons? You're thinking of another series.

I know. Twilight doesn't actually talk about sex. ;)
