The fact that you can say that with a straight face while liking Chiaki Omigawa is baffling.
The first SAO novel (which is where that passage comes from) was put up online back in 2002 or so. It included a chapter devoted to
that sex scene
Its started as web-novel, complete with that ero chapter. Got picked up by company, and of course that chapter gone when its got published.
Chiaki doesn't pull the crappy overused tsundere role all the time EVERY TIME.
Its not Rie's voice I don't like. I like high pitched voices like that, its how she is used in anime.

The picture quality on those images is really good! I didn't know until you pointed it out with this post that the Blu-ray BOX included this pilot. The whole package looks even better now, and it was amazing to begin with:

So, decided to get this out of the way as well. And yeah, it's basically a glorified Smile Precure episode drawn out to barely over 70 minutes (it even had some of the same comedy beats and visual reaction gags). Still, if you're the target audience for this - specifically someone who has seen the last three Precure shows - then this is basically your version of The Avengers and I can imagine being hyped by the fanservice porn.
The first group shot is nice...
But the Heartcatch girls got the big entrance:

There are a couple things that I found weird. First is that apparently people actually do see the Precure and know of their existence in a big scale?
It makes it seem like Spider-man or Superman... you'd almost expect one of the girls to be a blogger taking iphone photos of themselves in action.

As for the other Precures being dumped in at the end, it did feel very perfunctory. It makes perfect sense why they didn't bother to voice them, because having four full teams of Precures was probably expensive enough without having to pay everyone else. lol
They probably should just retire the older ones though. There's no reason for them to be there other than for the sake of completion.
I thought this moment was funny if only because you could tell this whole sequence was designed so that the girls in the audience could chant along. I have to imagine that at the theatre, they handed out those glow sticks and the girls were all excited to use them at the right moment. Certainly that sort of weird communal film experience doesn't really happen here anymore (outside of a shitty Rocky Horror screening).
Oh, and based on the Precures I saw, the Smile VAs are the best at not mangling their English transformations/attacks.
I'm still not sure who has the most fabulous transforms though. I want to say it's the Smiles, but then again, they really only did the full transforms for four groups and the Suites were nothing to write home about and the Heartcatch transformations were truncated quite a bit. The Fresh ones had the best after-effects, but the actual transformations were also pretty short.
I'm trying to think what other animu franchise could do this every year. I mean, I know the shounens crossover once in a while, but you have to be a fan of both to get the most out of it. Here, all you need to be is a fan of Precure and you "get it".
