Hyouka - Episode 15
This arc continues to really impress me on all levels. Keeping the mystery as a subtle background element in a few episodes to allow the cultural festival itself to develop as the main story stage really pays off, because now with the mystery out in the open everyone is much more invested into it, and it feels more like a major event, rather than a curious footnote.
I really like the way the characters have developed in the series, even though I found much of the earlier parts of the series inconsistent and honestly pretty boring at times. It doesn't hurt that this arc is really developing Mayaka as a character too, along with her manga club. Team Mayaka is the best team, and we should all rejoice over this.
The way they end this episode is a really nice parallel to the way they started episode 12, and it sets up some serious anticipation for what will occur on the final day of the festival. This is the Hyouka we deserve and the Hyouka we need right. Thank you Based KyoAni!
