Though it's not as freaky as the original prototype.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 323 – The Five Kage Assemble

More hyped for next week from the preview and just the final moments in episode when the best song played and Naruto was all pumped up
that headbutt, cant wait

Kage standing proudly proclaiming We Will Win was great.

You actually get quite a lot of things with it, including mini Ti-tan.

But why are his eyes suddenly small (thus more like the real one) here:
pXE3ApH.jpg

Does he get an eye infection in the show which makes them swell which is what the Nendo is referencing?

There may be some truly cringeworthy dramatic bits and the CG dancing may be incredibly soulless to watch, but it's all worth it for the faces.

Probably comes with one Moe and one non-moe face for posing etc.

"Open your legs wide"

Idol Culture at its finest.
Sounds like I should be watching it.

So I've been playing Liberation Maiden

Not the best mecha game ever, but I'll be darned if it isn't kinda addictive.

I considered getting that, but the more gameplay I saw, the more it reminded me of Kid Icarus Uprising. In fact; that's what it looked exactly like, but with a very short story mode.

Guys, I haven't watched a lot of anime recently but I decided to check out The Eccentric Family on a whim and love it. Question, what other animes do you think would be up my alley if I'm enjoying it? Just seems like a nice change from watching Attack on Titan.

The Tatami Galaxy since they're by the same author.

The CG still a eyesore, I do like what they do with the action that you can feel the sense of speed from it.. too bad about the IQ though.

I wish the mech drawn like this for the whole show ;____;

Putting that aside, this is a magical episode.. damn.

AnimeGAF, what do you call that feeling of being reluctant to part with a place and a people whom you have grown to love, while at the same time recognizing that you will carry in your heart the immeasurable riches they've brought to your life & character as you move forward into the future?

That is the feeling I am having right now.

Thats pretty much the most :firehawk example ever.

So I guess that's over. Was expecting it would have went on for longer but oh well. Was an enjoyable 5 minute per week distraction.

I hear that during Autumn in Beijing the leaves on the trees at Xiangshan turn a beautiful red before they fall.

::wipes away tears mixed of joy and sorrow prodded by a sudden realization of the ephemerality of life::

Its really corny now, but the song that symbolized my high school graduation year was Graduation song by Vitamin C. Wholly forgettable now but it will always mean a bit more to me (despite not really being a very good song)

Why is summer somehow excluded from mono no aware discussions? The brief yet eventful life of the cicada also encapsulates that feeling of transient beauty perfectly.

Ah, you're on this train too? lol
Cut out the OP and ED, and reduce part of the battle scene (I guess they could take out the moments when the planes and such are mobilizing in front of the glorious clouds and the Gamillians are launching, if they had to cut it...), hopefully people dont actually consider watching it on tv though. I thought it was most intense when it was one plane (sawa) v many.

It was almost just as good as the previous ones
though I miss when they would use the wave motion energy laser like in the one on the planet and then their first massive space fight

OP-less, maybe, but has a show cut the ED entirely? I suppose they could do the shitty thing and play the credits over the final minutes of the show.

On our last day of secondary school we got kicked out for setting off the fire alarm while an exam was going off.

I still see some of them from time to time. Can't say the same for university which basically resulted in everyone heading off in different directions.

i liked this sakura , especially since i'm a fan of the anime & the games.
Both good Sakuras. Not quite what I had in mind though.

Because cicadas are annoying. Also they don't creep into their grave at ~5CM/s

The Hakkenden 1: The Kaleidoscope
This OVA series has nothing to do with the recent "Hakkenden" TV show. It was produced in the early 90s, and as such it has many characteristics of the time.

The thing is gritty, full of action, quite gory with people being dismembered and blood everywhere, it has
bestiality (sorta)
and features a lot of the most talented animators in the industry today, who were making their strides at the time. You can guess that the thing is filled with moments of amazing animation, but since all of these guys were just put there for their talent and left to do their thing, it's really uneven in the drawings and style. I'd say the animation directors for this episode (Ohira and Hashimoto) didn't correct a lot of stuff, and as such you'll see characters with huge limbs and wacky faces in one scene, realistic movements in the next, different styles of line, etc.
Personally, I like that, but it might become jarring to someone else.

Some of the more interesting shots in the episode. In the second one, I like how neatly they trapped her in the frame, which fits in with her situation in the story.
The storytelling is disjointed, going back and forth between places and times, without making any effort to introduce the characters in a clear manner. This helps create a dark, unsettling tone, and combined with the pretty good layout work it makes the episode quite nice to watch, if a bit frustrating. It's not flawless, as there were some dubious transitions and even if well-done, they could ostensibly have set up the mood better, but it's still worthwhile. At the end you realize it's a setup for the storyline that will probably develop in the rest of the OVA, so I guess it'll become more linear in the upcoming episodes.

Oh shit that new AT. The inevitable fight will be sweet.
Huh? I thought the arc was ending this episode. One more I guess.

An additional observation is that Mushibugyou v1 DVD sold somewhere between 382 and 678 copies, closer to the latter. I'd say around 600 is a reasonable guess, but without an exact number we can't update the first volume sales list.
