Not only is Yahari v1 still doing great, but reports from today are saying that v2 also sold out only in several Akihabara shops, NOT everywhere.

:firehawk/10, AOTY, will I ever watch an anime finale as good as this ever again?

So I was able to enjoy the show for what it was, even if it was objectively pretty weak.

Then a friend of mine finally pestered me into watching Lost Canvas. I watched up to episode 26 and now I don't think I can even bring myself to even watch Omega anymore. :(

My friend is going through Haruihi's Endless Eight right now. It's great. :D
I couldn't help but give him a tip (skip the first half of the episode) but it's still great seeing his reactions each episode.

What game were they playing for the Faris Cup?

IBN 5100 donated to the shrine ten years ago by someone saying there may be a young man desperate for it in the future? Yeah, that was pretty obviously John Titor. Or was it? It probably was. But it may have not been. But it probably was.

Kurisu's only 18? I feel like I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Maybe it's because she's giving lectures as to the theoretical impossibility of time travel. Or it's because that tie she's wearing classes up the place so much that it makes her seem older. Either way, her little outburst about "repeating her father's mistakes" is rather curious. Theory as of right now is that her father was the fatality spoken of in the SERN e-mail. Or, her father was a researcher for SERN studying time travel, and then there was an experiment gone wrong that killed him.

You could also consider the movie as the finale, and in my opinion it's better.

Which isn't to say this episode wasn't great too.

Easily the ED song was the highlight of the episode. I want it just as much as I want prompt. They need to sing more character songs please.

Actually am hyped more for next episode, the preview...

Oh yeah, the K-On movie, I have to watch that too. Excited to see how good a KyoAni movie will look like.

It's like, the most well-animated thing they've done. Also it amps up the atmosphere a bit, but that's kind of a given since it's a film and all.

Watch the other three episodes first, they have some nice moments.

To be fair, it's a show I already watched knowing it is largely crap. And I was okay with that, but after seeing a similar setting where all the characters are actually given screentime and development on top of animation budget, I'm finally at #ICant levels.

Are the special episodes post graduation or just random side adventures?

The picture probably errs on the side of male more than female but when it's voiced by throaty voiced Akiko Yajima you start asking questions. Also, the show features Miyukichi, why have you not watched it?!*

I dunno, this meganekko she voices doesn't look too interesting.

Danganronpa 4

I swear with every episode I watch the pacing seems even worse. Okay, I guess I should give them some credit for actually showing most of the relevant parts of the investigation this time, even if they were cut down to, like, a few seconds each so that the impact of the murder itself was nonexistent and there was no time to actually think about any of the evidence. And as always, all the characterisation is completely lost, which ruins basically all of the cool and/or shocking moments because they rely on a certain amount of familiarity with and attachment to the characters.

I feel like I'm saying this every episode, but SERIOUSLY ANIME-ONLY WATCHERS, STOP DOING THIS TO YOURSELVES. YOU CAN STILL TURN BACK. YOU HAVE THE CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME. STOP RUINING THIS SERIES FOR YOURSELVES THIS IS BASICALLY A CRIME DO YOU WANT TO BE A CRIMINAL.

On a random note, this episode had an ondo-style song by Monokuma instead of a normal OP. That was vaguely fun I guess. It was presented rhythm-game style, and actually managed to awaken my rhythm-game instincts inasmuch as I couldn't stop staring at the combo count and willing it not to reset.
It never did, which was actually kind of disappointing.

At least the true super best girl shows up next week I think.

Episode 24 is the finale chronologically, but IIRC at least two of the specials are pretty much related to that whole thing. They're not part of the main arc or anything though.

Well yeah, Lost Canvas is the only part of the franchise that's legit good. The rest are all sporadically good.

As was hinted at before, The Rose of Versailles is now streaming on Crunchyroll. The full series is ready for subscribers, with 8 episodes a week being released for free members.

Also, it's limited to US/Canada only. Sorry, overseas folks.

One more mystery catalog title to still be revealed for the Summer.

I can agree with that. At least for last season.

This Steel Saint/Pallas arc has like... nothing. And watching how well Hades' faction was handled in Lost Canvas compared to this(Pallasites? Really?) is like... just painful, haha.

Sailor Moon Rough 57

Sensei is bipolar today. Another match of Usagi versus An to win Mammeries heart. A rather ho hum episode with some foreshadowing due to the cardian not listening to them, and next episode looks like we're getting close to the end of this Doom tree stuff. CHIBIUSA I AM ALMOST HERE

Man, SNAFU BATMAN doing well is kind of interesting. I wonder if there will be any pressure on the writer to start churning out material so that they can make more plastic discs.

Hayao Miyazaki's Kaze Tachinu has been selected to compete in the 70th Venice Film Festival.

http://www.labiennale.org/en/cinema...a70/venezia70.html?nocache=true&currentpage=2

So to our Italian friends here's your chance to watch it. The festival lasts from 8/28 ~ 9/7
Not old news at all; I saw the story earlier but neglected to post it. Also says the Captain Harlock CG film will be there out of competition.

Lucky folks.

Trying to remember if any previous Ghibli films were screened overseas this quickly before.
