Summer 2013 Anime |10th Dimensional OT| the first ignoble truth: all of life is anime

Yep, and it was suuuuuuuuuper uncomfortable. And like, not uncomfortable in the way you'd expect Watamote to be. More like...just...man I don't even know. It was some awkward shit.

Jeez, I don't know if I'll be able to watch this before I go to sleep. Might have to go with Blood Lad instead. Before bed is the worst time of the day to have depressing thoughts where I try to reevaluate my whole life.

Turn A Gundam 5

When in the hell am I going to see a giant robot actually fight another one!? GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR. Holy hell, I mean you punched that thing's HAND off, why not duke it out a little more here, people? How much longer do I have to wait to see even one mobile suit battle!?

Aside from the absurd lack of actual giant robot fights in the opening of this show, the only other frustration I'm feeling is the bizarre insistence of various cast members in referring to Loran as a girl, when, you know, we've known damn well that Loran is a guy since the first episode.

These gripes off of my chest, everything else is proceeding well enough. The mobile suit designs are all radically different from anything you might see in any other Gundam series. Even the Gundam itself only bears resemblance once told that it is a Gundam. The size differences between the variant suits is a bit unusual, too, since most shows have all MSes to some manner of standard.

There isn't a lot to say about the plot right now, other than the fact that Guin Rhineford is rapidly turning out to be a less benevolent character than initially expected, and that Dianna Soreil really does bear striking similarities to young Kihel Heim. Sochie is a bit selfish, but I mean, she's also a teenager dealing with grief in her own way. Also the war is rapidly escalating.

Harry Ord sorta keeps dancing the line for me of whether he's a super awesome Quattro clone or just a really weird Char clone.

Great episode to start this. It's like what being tsun could be if it wasn't so dumb and trite.

Time of EVE 3

Lots and lots of oggling of a certain lady going on in this episode, but its still nice to see the guys get to know the rest of the regulars here at the cafe. This time we're asked an important question: do you think love can bloom even on the battlefield between human and android? This episode suggests that
it can bloom between two androids, even!
Also, I can't tell if the future is just populated by anti-android/human relations propaganda, or if the main guy's sister is just ALWAYS watching this jazz. She also never seems to go anywhere.

I'm not sure which is better, the way Silver Link has been SHAFTing the material up to great effect, or just how well Tomoko's VA is selling the part. Her 'weird and creepy' voice is seriously something else.

If you want Moe and Mecha that sells, well, you have Macross Frontier.

Why go that far? You have Code Geass.

Labeling both show selling moe kinda weird, they selling heroine like old-school mecha anime does.. maybe that count too but not in a way they trying to insert them like AO or Lagrange does (Make the character anime otaku or putting cute girl doing cute thing element like Lagrin does)

Jex have a point, no new mecha show having success with this new catering method.. maybe its easier to do with fujoshi lol

This show is amazing. The scene
when her father walks in on her with the massager and the ero game, I was laughing so much.

Whoops, almost forgot it was a sales day.

Bolded series are new releases. Blu-ray cutoff for the short list was ridiculously high, at 4,379. Once the list is up, please remember that not all numbers are in yet, many shows might have sold more.

Twenty minutes of Culumon doing Culumon things. Surprisingly decent for once, or maybe it's just that the battles in this show are so uninteresting seeing it devolve into Guilmon and Culumon's manzai act becomes amusing.
Yeah, this was fun.

EDIT: Holy fuck those Madoka numbers.
EDIT2: Woah, wait, how much did Titan drop?!

Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!/Watamote Episode 4: Right, maybe we should rename this show Three's Company or something, so many sexual misunderstandings that oddly enough remind me of American sit com humor. Indeed this show is amusing me greatly with its antics now since I have come to terms with my utter hatred of Tomoko and I enjoy watching her suffer these humiliations and thee is no shortage of torment for her.

Not sure what you consider a recap or not, but skimming a list of TV anime movie lifetime sales:

EVANGELION:2.22 -- 838,929
EVANGELION:1.01 -- 579,077
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation II - Lovers -- 149,108
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation III - Love Is the Pulse of the Stars -- 145,444
Gintama Benizakura-hen -- 139,350
Nanoha 1st -- 103,953
Nanoha 2nd -- 95,597

Those are the only ones greater than Madoka's current sales.

edit: added the Zeta Gundam movies, as I think those are a retelling as well.

I'm talking more about movies based on tv footage without or barely new animated content.
The EVA movies or Nanoha are more remakes than recaps movie like Madoka or the incoming Chuu2 movie.

I guess it would be the Zeta Gundam compilation movie trilogy then, unless that doesn't match your criteria too.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation I - Heir to the Stars -- 174,097
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation II - Lovers -- 149,108
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation III - Love Is the Pulse of the Stars -- 145,444

Might be worth to check out Death & Rebirth for the Evangelion numbers, although half of that movie is new material.

EDIT: Except that's probably only VHS, so not really comparable.

Nanami is a space alien. A digusting, horrifying beast that needs to be put down. I'm sorry Touga, but your sister lays eggs. Time to put her down. It'll only benefit everyone. :-D

Hmm... it's hard to get a fair number since it looks like almost everything that released Death/Rebirth also packaged it with the full EoE movie, or some combination thereof.

Gintama and the Zeta movies used tv show footage (the Zeta movies used footage from the 80s in fact, resulting in a very inconsistent look compared to the newly animated parts).

This show is really fun to watch. I dont really see whats so uncomfortable about it. She embarasses herself true but I embarass myself all the time. Social awkwardness is what it is. At least she gives it a try.

Metal, not plastic. Kinda neat but I wish they were light-up USB flash drives.
Wonder if Rei's key is on its way also.

Kinda sorta want but what would I do with them?
