So I hear this is Code Geass: Season 3? I'm fucking game.

I bet that resignation is gonna come back to bite him, it has too.

Well...now that's a way to end an episode. I can already tell this is gonna be fun. Its shaping to be a decent action show and if it has as much twists as you guys claim it has, I'll be a happy man.

Really enjoyed the puzzle of fools battle between Kaito and Gammon. Guess he had to go have his Vegeta moment eh. Can't imagine this face -> heel turn lasting more then 5 episodes.
You're in for some great moments soon , very soon. i dare to say that from now on phi brain will be top notch.( yep untill the end of S2)

The fact that Hikari is better sows how fucked the anime industry really is.

Oh well once this shit is done, I'll do a special run for Saint Seiya Omega.
Sain seya omega starts weirdly , the pacing in the first 7 ep is kinda uneven but it get better after the middle of the first part , then you have the second part that is very good on average and should satisfy most people wanting to see intresting fights.

And then starting from ep 52 ... the Third part ( that we are currently in ) featuring the most useless being in the sain seya franchise as a way to annoy the viewer...
I'd advise stopping at the end of part 2, unless you want to do a hatewatch-like watch and witness the stupidity that DTL and I are watching ( since it seems we are the only ones watching this show on animegaf , anyway )

More like it shows that Toei has a lot of really lazy directors and writers who don't care a wit about what they're doing.

But then they also have Rie Matsumoto.
Oh the current problem at toei is clearly the writters , not the directors...

Them as sumo wrestlers was quite...disturbing.

Kotake was going overboard with the fat kid there, but in a way I actually understand how he felt. Like, the whole class was just mocking the kid behind his back, and he just seemed so oblivious to their derision. Obviously he went about it in the wrong way, but he was trying to help the kid.

Two episodes in a row before this where Doremi's steak obsession royally fucks them in the ass, and she's still dreaming of it all the time. How many times does it have to get in the way before she realizes she may have a problem?

Itis more like watching duckroll approved episodes more than anything. Saint Sega Obridga if you well.

Majestic Prince 24 [END]

That was.... entirely predictable. Not bad, or unenjoyable. But it was kind of the "obvious" conclusion. I would have liked it if they surprised me.

Duckroll made a list ?
He hasn't made one for the third part ( yet ) :p

So jealousy , heroes , reveal and the bishonen seems to be bored and have found a new toy . Wonderfull.

Phi Brain 19

I have to admit Gammon makes a better villain then he does a hero, I hope my prediction of 5 episodes before he reverts back to a good guy doesn't come true. Now if only Ana would come back.

Hey Anime-GAF, first time posting here, and with good reason since my only experience with anime was watching Dragon Ball Z when I got home from school... which was well over a decade ago. Haven't even played a JRPG since the original Playstation (unless watching Giant Bomb's P4 Endurance Run counts).

Anywho, when Wargamming.net announced they were doing a cross-promotion thing in Japan with "Girls Und Panzer" something piqued my interest (which is weird because I don't even play World of Tanks). So I caught a few clips on YouTube and thought "this was my kind of weird." Just finished it and really enjoyed it, thought it was witty and whimsical and found myself laughing on more than one occasion. Just wanted to see gather some suggestions on anything with a similar light-heartedness, without being really flashy or seizure-inducing. Preferably something that is already out and not on-going so I can take advantage of this 2-week Crunchyroll trial subscription.

Damn, you picked a hell of a series to just watch on a whim. Seems like most non/casual anime fans would be turned off by something like GuP.

As zeroshiki said, depends on what you like about it. Maybe AKB0048? I haven't actually watched that, but I think it's supposed to have something similar going for it, only with idols instead of tanks.

Not sure if there's one specific genre you're aiming at or trying to avoid, but I'll throw you some stuff. I'm not sure if I've watched something that stays light-hearted the entire time.

Toradora! and Clannad/Clannad: After Story (don't watch the Clannad film) definitely have their very lighthearted moments, though they do become quite emotional, especially Clannad: After Story, which has to be one of the more heart-wrenching piece of media in general I've ever consumed. The same could also be said of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, if you're interested in a film rather than a series.

Golden Boy (English dub only, trust me on this) is a short series (6 episodes), well done, light-hearted/not serious, and one of the single most hilarious things I think I've ever watched. Parts can be pretty perverted (to put it lightly), but I think it's a fucking gem.

Little Witch Academia is amazing little thing that would probably really enjoy, too.

Majestic prince - 11 & 12

There wasn't much to say about those 2 episodes, really , the crew was bonding and some events on mars that might be usefull in the future..the rescue was great

Was forwarded an old blog from a few years back of translated Niconico comments from otaku watching Japanese fansubbed eps of My Little Pony in English.

Everybody is my wife

What freshness that all the characters are quadruped w

Pretty Cure, but with Furries

More like K-On

It’s on the same level as things like K-On and Madoka

my wife KITAAAAAA ww

If you look closely, the loli-trio is already showing up in this scene

Is that VA Tara Strong?

Ahh, she’s Bubbles’ VA, right?

Tara-san is Twilight’s VA

The quality was so high!!!!!!!!

It’s pretty rare to have an American cartoon with a first episode that isn’t simple and concise

I wish they made a Japanese dub version…

It was so incredibly good! Thanks for the subs!

So that’s why all the Otakus are getting into it

Surreal how much it mirrors the sort of discussion you see on western forums.

That's a bit disappointing, I thought there was many better fight with better intensity on this 2nd half than this episode show.. I'm really happy when the last bit playing like the cast. But overall this final episode are really flat, they fail to deliver the hype.

I'm not regretting not dropping this show though, the 2nd cour just much more entertaining with some excellent episode. Will watch the 2nd season if they really make it.

Now back to waiting our actual mecha overlord. Valvrave

Victory Gundam 23

-Karlmann shrieks like the demon pig that he is even when allegedly happy. I have NEVER seen this horrible fiend shut up. I'm going to be a terrible father some day.
-Speaking of bad parenting: "Hey Shakti this white lady is your mom! She doesn't look even remotely like you, and is the Queen of a brutal, violent and stupid (they're a spacenoid empire, that goes without saying) regime which violently executes people! Yay don't you feel so happy at meeting this woman claiming to be your mother with only "blood tests" that you have not been shown as her proof?"
-No Shakti has not been constantly fighting Cronicle she's done like, even less than you, which I grant isn't saying much because you've done about as much fighting as fucking Flanders you lazy ass, sorry, pathetic excuse for a Char clone.
-Speaking of how awful you are, Cronicle, you do realize you just told a frightened little girl, who has seen your men kill people and threaten to rape people (like seriously, the Zeon, Cosmo Babylonians, and Jovians never seemed even remotely as rapey as the Zanscare) that if she doesn't accept the woman who condones the brutal, public execution of her political opponents as her mother, as opposed to the woman who raised her as her own, that she will be instead choosing to accept a return to the war.

You know, the war that this so called mother of hers has started and perpetuates and does nothing with her title of Queen to stop, nor shows any sign of regretting, feeling, or giving a fuck about at all. This war that is this woman's fault, and whom the support of would be, in fact, a resolution to return to the battlefield, as opposed to running away, which is a very reasonable thing to do when a frightened little girl is having a big, ugly guy shout in her face.

AND ALL THIS IN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES.

I want to call Victory the AGE of UC, but I think it would be more fair to call it the 00 of UC. Great music, well animated, some good fights and mechanical designs, but a plot so shitty that it could only have been ass-crafted by the royal Poopsmith himself. AGE has more in common with the plot, but it didn't have good music, and the mechanical designs look like something that captain hook would have drawn with his one good hand behind his back and a bad case of explosive diarrhea.

You want to know why Gundam started to falter, look no further than Victory. Thank goodness it was followed up with the stellar Turn A.

WHY ARE THERE SHIRTS ADVERTISING THE UTAH JAZZ AND SHAQUIEL O'NEIL AT THIS POINT IN HISTORY?

There is apparently another Ghibli movie opening in 2 months that is not Kaguya Hime... its Yume to Kyouki no Oukoku or "The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness" and it sounds like its a documentary on Ghibli.

The description says that its gonna be about the relationship of the 3 men who form the backbone of Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and producer Toshio Suzuki.

Exciting. I wonder if it will be even remotely controversial in it's examination of the studio. Somehow I doubt it.

Miyazaki isn't media trained in the normal sense and says whatever shit comes to his mind with no mind of consequences (he publicly criticized the Japanese government for the nuclear stuff and is pro war reparations). I mean, the whole deal with Goro isn't really something people should be airing out in public but he wrote an essay on it and approved a documentary specifically about it. I'm sure there will be something interesting.

I'm super interested in how this will deal with Takahata since he's been super reclusive. The whole relationship between Takahata and Miyazaki is not something that's been explored in any meaningful way up to now. The article says there might be quite a bit of focus on him and Kaguya Hime since the movie comes just before Kaguya Hime opens.

14:15 Isn’t the Furry-rate of Japan not so far behind America’s though?
14:19 ‘mericans can’t grasp the concept of moe
14:21 There’s a word for folks who project their nae onto other people’s moe… and that is “shutup cocksucker” w
14:23 Nah, it’s just that Japan has different types of moe

Simulcast times and territories have been revealed for Crunchyroll's triple dose of Aniplex shows.

Kill la Kill
Thursdays at 11:30 am PDT -- North America, South America, and South Africa only
(as was previously noted, Madman will be streaming the series as a same-day simulcast for Australia/NZ viewers)

Valvrave the Liberator Season 2
Thursdays at 10:00am PDT -- US, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland only
Great! also this is one of the few cases I don't care one bit about anime being restricted to US only with Magi. lol

The show definitely could have used a couple more cameos. With any luck we'll have an anime based around an entirely new cast and it'll be awesome because it might have Waltrud in it. And since you mentioned the autograph picture:

GFzlUkL.jpg

I always enjoy looking at the actual archetypes. Handsome ace turns into beautiful pantsless witch, what a world.
The likeness is uncanny! And I agree, as good as the cast is it's a wasted opportunity to keep the show mostly restricted to the main cast.

Motherfuckers even got a Miyukichi in their version, if only there was an English version of her.
And yet you still have yet to see it!

I'm still hoping that we get a Africa based series. Greatest cast and they could include tank witches.

So the endgame is near. I'm taking the bath scene as symbolism of such and well the rest of the episode surely confirmed as much.
This episode also throws more fuel on the MinnaxMio fire as if that was even necessary at this point. We also get M34 Minna which is certainly nice.
Surprised I haven't seen a "HartmanSwimming2.gif" around. It looks like the sort of thing that should logically exist.
Nice fight at the end too. Also in a better time without licensing concerns this scene would have been done justice with this.
A very modest but still acceptable amount of [REDACTED] probably saving all their [REDACTED] budget for the endgame.

Hopefully they announce a season 3 and it's exactly like that!

Majestic Budget - 24

Big budget finale is big budget finale. Good lord, my eyes in that final exchange. Yeah, this was really predictable. You knew how it was going to end but MAN. Lol. Pure mecha action porn.

I'm wondering if
they may do a second season of this, considering 2 general survived as well as the King. Nothing has been resolved except for the gate being closed and that just seems to be delaying things
. We also still
have to resolve the awkward (and possibly incestuous) love triangle between Izuru, Kei and Teoria.

I want more. :(

It seems that I really should catch up with Majestic Prince. Watched the first episode and after that somehow forgot to watch couple next episodes and after that got put off by impressions here but it seems that second half is pure mech porn.

Yes, the 2nd half is just different beast for MJP.. so many mecha goodness.

Yurumates 3-dei 1-8

This show is pretty good. But I always end up wishing these shorts were full-length, or at least half-length like Muromi-san.

Yurumates 3-dei 9-13

Still good. And Sae's imouto is adorable.

Also, MAL listing the latter half as a separate season/show while CR groups them together is a bit odd.

Today, they announced the winners of Pixiv's Revolutionary Girl Utena Illustration Contest, including a couple among the grand prize winners that would make SDBurton proud. Not that it's a terribly difficult theme to demonstrate with this series.

http://www.pixiv.net/info.php?id=1915 (a couple of the thumbnails on the results page may be slightly nsfw)

Very nice. Pixiv artists are some of the most talented. Blows most DA art away.

Still waiting to see Liz. She seems sooooo cute.

:lol @ a weather delay

Hmmm Millhiore is completely adorable but better than Saber? I dunno....

Baccano 6-10

This is really picking up the ante. the way the 4 storylines intertwine is very interesting. The characters are pretty interesting aside from Firo( he seems very typical of a shounen hero. Good thing it hardly focuses on him. Isaac and Miria are very lovable duo and Jacuzzi is actually fairly awesome despite being a coward. The immortal kid is pretty well written. I'm excited to see how it all ends. The first episode is actually a bit more sense now too

And yet you still have yet to see it!

It's not worth it!

I'm still hoping that we get a Africa based series. Greatest cast and they could include tank witches.

A man can dream... and just one month to go until the October announcement.

I'm not sure how much chance a doujin has at being adapted, but it'd still be nice considering the completely different setting and cast (and a(nother) straight witch, whoda thunk!). Also because delicious Keiko.

October announcement is making me anxious as shit.

Yurumates 3-dei Plus 1-13 (or Yurumates 3-dei 14-26?)

Fun little show. Kinda like a NEET version of Hidamari. I wonder if there's any other "weird people living in the same apartment complex" shows out there...

One of the better shows this season and I feel the most consistent. Looking forward to the next series.
