He got gud and stopped being gud near the end of the main game. It really dipped and spiked in skill level.. like
dying on an easy final boss.

Yeah I kind of think the greatsword might have ruined him a bit since he got so comfortable with the damage against weaker enemies he got a bit overconfident at times.
He thinks he can stun them but they always get one or two hits in before he does. Then he does things like swing waayyy too early or waayy too late.. He's just rusty and lost some of his skill. The strong shield and high damage has him very over confident a lot.
