It was multiple covers of Bible Black and other hentai, which were clearly anime porn.

While deleting them from my history, I read reviews for some of these hentais and goddamn are those some things.

Those are totally different, though. When I defend that shit it's because yo, I like cute things and the soft colors and art style with the light stories help with my depression and anxiety. The shit I'm calling out are people legitimately using the "Thousand year old dragon girl" defense of loli stuff. If you wanna fuck a little anime girl, don't bullshit me, just say you wanna fuck the little anime girl.

It's legal, but partially because it's not something that's super well known so people aren't fighting it as hard as they would be if they knew and partially because it's tied up in artistic representations of things and huge laws would have to change to do anything about it.

One is not nearly as extreme as the the other of course, and fair enough if that's why you like that. In my experience over the years, the vast majority of people into that stuff are into it for the wrong reasons, I mean it's not all that different from bronies, it's 20 something guys getting WAY too much enjoyment from shows made with young girls in mind (Which is a bit different in Japan because of the Otaku culture causing anime to be that way more and more, still bad).

If you wanted to ban the type of loli stuff that's super creepy it should be done on a retailer level. Petition Amazon to stop selling it, etc. Freedom of speech still counts for shitty, creepy people, it's not a governmental level problem.

Yeah there's no way to adequately regulate it without causing a shitload of other problems.

It can also be argued that this kind of material is a healthy outlet for people with...questionable desires, to prevent them from acting out their fantasies on real life people.

Regardless, people will find stuff to get their rocks off to no matter how weird, wrong, or questionable their fantasies are.

The K-ON thread is example enough that people are creepy, and everything has obsessive people who take things too far, but that doesn't mean the thing itself has no merit or isn't entertaining.

I love Supernatural, Doctor Who and Sherlock, but all of those have that same, creepy and overbearing fanbase that take every bit of it too far and make me kinda hate talking about the shows. Still enjoy them when I'm watching them, though.

Mindy Project's first season is rough as shit, then the second season they find themselves and add the gay guy from Happy Endings, who feels like he should have been there the whole time, and the show is overall a ton of fun. Unfortunately the worst part is still Mindy by far, since she's just a less likable Liz Lemon. Still, the show is way better than I thought it would be.
