The TE is what started my love of arcade sticks. I'd only had super shitty sticks before. I'd seen HRAPs (still ove those), but could never afford one, personally. It's when I started realizing the difference between Sanwa parts and Hori's (super shitty) alternative. I preordered a TE for 360 and for PS3, and then I waited. The ps3 one came in first, and I was hooked immediately. The build quality was so much better than anything I had touched before, the buttons and stick felt amazing. The size was great for me then, until I played on more and began to develop a personal preference.

I think it removed compatibilty for one of my adapters. I need to track down an inpin, lol.
It's not any more or less flimsy then the old style door. The gripe I have is that I sometimes grab the stick at that location, so there is a risk of it slipping out of my hand when the door pops open.
My favorite arcade stick memory is being one of the earliest Hori Store US customers. I pre-ordered the RAP EX-SE and the RAP 3-SA from the website, and my invoice was #0005. I got a nice letter from their sales manager (the lady's name escapes me at the moment, Jun something), and a free wireless control pad too. That was pretty cool.

I just realised I could have bought a Nividia GTX 980 with the money I spent on my two PS4 VLXs. But I'm so looking forward to my first Ultra Street Fighter 4 "VS Match" with these it isn't even funny. I guess I'll wait for the inevitable GTX 980 Ti while I dragon uppercut some chumps!!!

Nope. Just the two initial models. When they're gone, they're gone.

If these sell out before May 1, I'd hope they at least look into another batch. I don't know what's economical (maybe MarkMan could chime in about how many might need to be made in order to achieve some economy of scale), but if demand is high enough I hope they wouldn't leave money on the table.
Been a long time Amazon user and am pretty familiar with how pre-orders behave and from what I have gathered and posts here, Hori release dates are rarely firm street dates and just estimated. So, I think it's safe to say Amazon didn't get them in stock yet, or the orders would have changed status and started processing. The status on the product page may remain out of stock, but as they start to get them in orders will start to update. No clue how long that will be though.

You should look into the Titan One instead of the CronusMAX given the latter is now essentially a knockoff of the former.
I do. You have to use a PC and run a mapping program, so it's a pain, but they have a firmware update supposedly releasing this week that lets you use it without a PC. It also has a tournament edition mode as part of that. No idea of the logistics yet as I only just saw this info. I use it for the 360>XO mainly.
Also, apparently there's some bad blood/legal stuff between the Titan One devs and them, but it's kind of a he-said/she-said.

I bought mine last fall, before I even heard of the Titan One. It's interesting reading up on the situation, as it sounds like a split kinda like the Harmonix and RedOctane/Guitar Hero split where the creator left while those remaining kept the original name. It's weird, because the two companies are taking shots at each other. I read something yesterday where the CM people were bashing the electrical quality of the Titan One saying the issue people were having it drawing too much power was due to the original CM hardware engineering being shoddy as well as that of the current Titan One, but it not being an issue with their re-done 2014 model. Who knows.
Anyway, yeah, I just saw this on their FB page yesterday. It's all moot to me as I only use them for the XO and am still keeping my PS4 stick pre-orders, but if they end up being more functional, that's fine. It could just be something like the Titan One where you may need to hit some button sequence to re-authenticate, but its not clear.

This cool guy just celebrated it’s 6th birthday (Street Fighter IV & this product launched in Feb. of 2009). It helped create a legacy and new age within the fighting game community for Mad Catz​. This past weekend at Cannes Winter Clash, the winner of the Ultra Street Fighter​ IV tournament (Poongko, S. Korea) used the original SF4 Tournament Edition FightStick to claim victory. It’s been a wild ride. You ain’t seen nothing yet.

Ah I still have this beauty even though I not longer have a X360. Sitting in my closest with original packaging and looks just as good as the day I bought it.
Mine was supposed to be here tomorrow by 8pm but I am pretty sure that's no longer happening... If this thing is getting pushed back til the end of the month or later I may as well just preorder a VLX.

Yeah i still have te 2 on pre order. if kai 4 is delayed i am gonna cancel it and just get the te2. Only reason i ordered it because i wanted to play some gg xrd and mkx because madcatz said they are not shipping Te2 till late april which is after mk x.

Yeah I had to put down GGXrd after a few weeks because I just cant play pad very well. I also ordered the kai because it was the earliest available stick I could get but if things are delayed I might as well just order the VLX when I have enough money (hopefully they aren't gone by then or i'll be screwed)
Pretty sure that any delay on the Kai would still have it release waaay before late April.

The guys at Arcade Shock said that they will allocate some to sell at SCR and EVO, so that's probably a "no" for NCR. But the guys from Split Frame will sell the VLX bag there if you want a really nice $100 bag that could fit a VLX if you had one

With my Kai coming soon I wanted to have the parts ready to go before it arrives to use the Sanwa buttons. I have never owned a stick and want to make sure I am getting the correct pieces. http://www.focusattack.com/black-rim-sanwa-obsf-30mm-pushbutton-white-black/ according to the wording it and the pictures they should work, but I want to make sure.
Also should I purchase a stick bag? I do not plan on attending events that much, but I do travel to friends' places and do not want to throw away a new chunk of change.

The start button is going to be the smaller 24mm I think, if you plan on replacing that one as well.
Seems to be a no-go across the board on the Kai so far.

Nope no go here either. It's actually a good as I have been on the fence about it and I cancelled my Preorder and am going to just put one in for the VLX instead.

a BAG is $100? I don't even think my first stick was a $100.00.
The QANBA defender fits a VLX. It's what I'll be using to transport mine around. I'm not really worried about it bumping around too much. It's fairly well cushioned and I'll be wearing it on my back, anyway.
It also looks pretty nice and not like "gamer gear," so I can use it for other stuff if I want.

Sent an e-mail to Amazon about my HRAP 4 Kai. They confirmed it is back-ordered and upgraded my order to one-day shipping with no clear release date; no longer says it's arriving tomorrow. :/

I already decided to put my money towards the VLX at this point. Hope you guys get your sticks soon and without an hassle.
One thing I've learned from Amazon about adjusting pre-orders is not to do it unless you have no choice. I think simply applying Amazon credit to an existing order doesn't affect it, but I've lost my place in pre-order queues for otherwise modifying orders in the past and missed initial stock. I'd hold off on having Amazon do anything with your order. Sounds like they're just behind in receiving them.

Most of my amazon prime deliveries ship the night before they arrive, so it's entirely possible. My fingers are crossed, since I desperately want to get back to Xrd soon.

In my case, I merely asked what was going on with my pre-order via e-mail and the customer service representative "serviced" my order by giving it one-day shipping. However, doing so seems to have pushed me to the back of the order queue, since I no longer have an estimated delivery date.
Changing the payment information has done that in the past. I don't recall about shipping address or speed. Maybe it doesn't happen anymore, it's been a while.
