I love the 'junior member' jibes. They're brilliant. Because you only start posting sense when you become a full member, right?

Doesn't alter the fact that I'm right about this. The SNES game Super Punch-Out!! is included in Fight Night R2 for Cube. Fact.
No, you only start posting sense when you include a source with your news.

LOL!

More like Fight Night included with Super Punch out if true!
Haha, that's an excellent way of putting it.

Suck it up junior it builds character!

I don't believe this news.

... and what would be the point? Why would Nintendo beat down their own franchise like this?!

Include a source or the animosity will never leave you.

Source please...otherwise I have no reason to get excited. I am a huge Super Punch Out fan and would love this to be true. And if this is made up or the thread starter doesnt provide a link he should be banned.

Well, to boost the game's sales, for one. I'm sure EA probably also recognizes it as a gesture of goodwill.

The 'source' would be me, after I put the NR disc in the debug GameCube and saw it WITH MY OWN EYES.
Not good enough.

I'd believe it if it said the game was to include SPU *characters*, but as is, it sounds too dumb to be true. Why would they simply include an ages-old game that probably stomps all over EA's offering? Who would win here?

Nintendo seriously needs to make a sequel to Super Punch-Out!!

I've been saying this forever. I remember that last year there was some kind of blurb about them planning a new one, but that possiblity is looking less likely.

And :lol at Do The Mario about Fight Night being included with Super Punch Out. You got that right. :D

How embarrassing for you. Do you not believe the sun is up unless somebody provides an internet link? This is actual breaking news. How about they ban me if I'm wrong, but ban you if I'm right? Fancy that wager, cowboy?

can you take pics?

No, how about a) you provide some proof or be proven wrong, and I'll still remain unbanned either way, because b) only a fucking jackass would automatically believe any old shit posted by any old forum poster on a random fucking messageboard.

Renewing interest in it by including it with a game a lot of people could buy = "beating it down"?

And for people that are thinking of buying this just for SPO, you know you can probably get the SNES cart for less than the price this will be, right?
Santa's been working out lately, I see.

Actually, only the hardcore gamers would recognize the arcade like Super Punch Out game to be superior to Fight Night R2. I don't see this game helping the GameCube versions sales that much. Of course it garantees a sale from me if true, but how many casual gamers out there would buy this game just for Super Punch Out!! ?

On a related note...what Nintendo really needs to do is hand EA the code to Goldeneye and either redo it on the DS or include it in the next Bond game on the Gamecube or Revolution. Now that would rock.

Yeah, but for a lot of people, their SNES is long gone, or it's more convenient to be able to play it on a system they have hooked up right now (or hooked up on their better TV, sound equipment, etc.)

Amen to that. After seeing those HL2 Facility map mod screens a Goldeneye remake is high on my wish list.

Every hardcore gamer who plan to buy the game anyway on another console because of the online mode?

If he is so dam sure about this people should make a bet with him

If he is right people betting should get the “junior member” tag

If he is wrong he should get a MEGA insulting tag!

I will leave it to the most wise mod’s to make anything official!

The collective scepticism here bores me. You know the facts, and I'll leave you alone to cry about it at your leisure.

Don't take it personally, but most of us don't know you. Tons a of bullshit floats through forums everyday so most of us aren't going to autmatically take your word for it.

Yes, they do, but I am afraid people are more into the Fight Night style games nowadays, and the sequel if it ever gets made, wouldn't sell all that well. That's the sad state of affairs that casual gamers has brought us too. Look at how F-Zero GX sold on the Cube. People are more into realistic games nowadays. That goes from racers, to boxing games. Just look at the sales of GT3 compared to something like WipeOut Fusion or F-Zero GX and you will see people aren't interested in these types of games any more.

I edited that to say casual gamers, and I was referring to the GCN version only. Of course hardcore gamers are going to buy it, but will the casuals that don't normally pick up sports games (or remember Super Punch Out!!)buy it just for Super Punch Out!! ? I doubt it.
