I don't think it's quite the same thing...I don't disbelieve him, but I also have no compelling reason to take his word, either.madara said:Ouch! Hmm guys didnt we just make fun of gamefaqers for doing same thing in thread not too long ago....
Yeah, at first I saw the title and I thought "Fight Night's on the Cube now?"Musashi Wins! said:I think GC fans should be more excited about the boxing title coming to the console, because some EA presentation ugliness aside, it's an excellent boxing game.
Musashi Wins! said:I love Super Punch Out, I still play it occasionally, but it doesn't seem especially "hardcore". It's just a cool little bonus. I think GC fans should be more excited about the boxing title coming to the console, because some EA presentation ugliness aside, it's an excellent boxing game. If they made a few adjustments to the sequel it should be one of the best made. I think it's great that they decided to support the platform with it too.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me, either. The mere fact that Fight Night is on the GC all of a sudden supports at least something like this.Gaia Theory said:I have decided to blindly trust this news. It makes sense to me, and I wouldn't be surprised at all.

This is a great idea.Do The Mario said:If he is so dam sure about this people should make a bet with him
If he is right people betting should get the junior member tag
If he is wrong he should get a MEGA insulting tag!
I will leave it to the most wise mods to make anything official!

Well that explains that. :lol :lolTheDrowningMan said:KOK 2003 was simply a slightly adjusted version of the 2002 edition which saw release on the other consoles to compensate for the lack of said game on GC.

Damn you Nintendo I'd buy the game if you believed online gaming exsisted.
Now I'll go with your rival.

He should've mentioned all of his qualifications in his first post, or at the very least been a bit more specific (i.e., "I'm a game journo" or something of that sort). Just leaving the topic title as the news and adding some sentence about EA crap is practically begging not to be taken seriously. I would've given the same reaction for any member, junior or otherwise, unless they had a reputation for posting true information.lochnesssnowman said:Your man (the poster) hardly went out to cover himself in glory, had nothing to gain, gave us some new (and cool) information, but because he doesn't have proof apparently he's a typical junior member and should be banned. Normally, posters with false information act differently to this guy - i.e. he's just put some stuff out there and doesn't appear preoccupied with who believes him or not.
Hardly encourages people to share information in the future.

As I said, he is owed an apology as it appears he's right (and has credentials as well), but he really should've gone about posting the news in a way more conducive to belief.
Well, to be fair, we can't prove Eurogamer got the news from here any more than we can prove they actually did get it from sources close to Nintendo (unless you've got information I don't).Kobun Heat said:Nice. So as soon as Eurogamer picks up the news FROM HERE and posts it, that's when people start believing it? This "link?" thing has gone too far.
Look I'm sorry that deandotscott is miffed by the bashing he got and I hope he sticks around, but dammit, that is a horrible combination of events that has to be bashed to keep the forum from sinking into a pit of groundless rumours. If this turns out to be true then we everbody who based him gets to eat crow and his stature on the boards grow. If he had explained his situation to start the thread instead of posting a one-liner then the bashing wouldn't have been nearly as bad.CrisKre said:News+junior memeber+no link and some people just bashed this guy who was contributing to the forum.
