Good games! I feel not playing for a while actually helped things, since I'm now punishing stuff with smashes a lot more often and using a larger variety of fruits than before. Falcon tends to give me trouble with his large aerial hitboxes and great ground speed, so I guess Sheik and ZSS will also be hard match-ups for me because they tend to play like that, only they have a way more dangerous grab game and are better at recovering, too.

The patience required to play Ryu against Ness and Lucas really isn't worth it compared to these other characters.

GGs Snacks. That Greninja is so hard to hit sometimes. It seems like that is a really bad matchup for Lucas.

Like I've said, he has good rolls and movement, but he doesn't get anything off of them. It doesn't matter how slippery he is because there's no payoff. It's pretty even as far as I can tell.
I think I like Fox more, but he's a stupid furry, instead of a frog, so how can I be expected to play that

Star Fox actually doesn't feel that way for me. I can play Wolf without feeling weird, because they were all such a huge part of my childhood pre-furry craze.

Fox at least exists in a world full of talking anthropomorphic animals piloting spacecraft. Lucario is just a Pokemon who talks because one Lucario did in a movie once and it's taken completely seriously.

But I do still play Fox. D: Just because I've been focusing on my mustaches lately doesn't mean I don't use the space animal still. He's plenty reliable for killing lower-tier threats after all.
It's just that despite my utter inability to comprehend why I have fun with Dr. Mario, I still enjoy playing him and making him work.
Oh, and so long as my tag doesn't say Banned I am the best Mario player on GAF from now until the end of forever so there. Also, I'm claiming best Ness whenever Shamrock goes on vacation. :T
Edit: Also I played the SFV beta for the first time today, and on the sole virtue of Cammy saying "Mission Complete" she will now be my main.

You do this thing where you dash and immediately forward tilt that I can't do; gotta learn that.

The day I learn to wall tech is the day ridley gets updated to be playable. Fml.
Tip about DI, tap the control stick in a direction multiple times fast to get out of the combo, down just hold down the direction.
Huh, really? And you could tell that's what I was doing just by looking? Interesting, I never knew that.
Though, I gotta say, when it comes to combos I don't even think about DI that much and just flick the stick wherevs.
Ooh, gotcha. I'll need to remember that for situations like it.
