Uh, bro, have you been in an NPD thread recently? Lifetime aligned, it's doing significantly worse than the Gamecube and is actually selling less than the goddamn Dreamcast. That is not "fine".

Smash Bros is a big title that will push a lot of sales, and they absolutely want it out for the holiday season, but they've got other titles like Hyrule Warriors that will move units too.

To be fair, the Xbox One, and to a lesser extent, the PS4 aren't exactly lighting NPD charts up. Xbox One's July was worse than any Xbox 360's July ever. There's a contraction going on.

Yeah, I wouldn't characterize ledge-hogging as interesting. I like the changes Sakurai has implemented to reward inventive players rather than rote tactics.

Meanwhile, they are apparently innundated with Pokemon pre-orders and will be having a huge event for launch.

As for the biggest remaining 2014 Nintendo mystery, the company still isn't saying when Smash Bros. for Wii U will be out. During the presentation, a Nintendo rep said the date would be revealed this Friday during Nintendo's Smash Bros. streaming event.

I didn't mention ledge-hogging anywhere.

It's boring because it's super easy to recover and the highly spammable air dodge means it's practically not worth the risk of jumping off stage after them, might as well just wait on stage to see what they do.

The only times I've ever been able to get a meteor smash offstage is when the CPU wasn't using the air dodge for no apparent reason.
