We don't know if she was part of Diddy up until she was scrapped, or if she had been made independent at some point. All we know is that at some point, Diddy was supposed to be tagged with Dixie, and that they encountered some problems with that, but she might've been split off of Diddy first, and when they realized they couldn't finish her in time, was completely scrapped.

But even if she was part of Diddy during Brawl's development, she would've been playable, and the pair would've either been a transformation character ala Zelda/Sheik, or Diddy would've used Dixie as an additional AI partner, like the Ice Climbers. Plus, her initial plans for Brawl have little impact on Smash 4 (specifically because Smash 4 dumped transformations and the Ice Climbers as the sole tag team character). I'm fairly certain that Dixie was at least heavily considered during development, especially with Tropical Freeze also being in development around the same time.

Before I went to lunch, most of them didn't have him unlocked. Not sure if that's changed or not. Anyway, I don't think we've seen many/any detailed write-ups yet, that might take a little time.

Wait! There's EU demo codes out now? Man, living in a country where CN closed down years ago sucks. If anyone got a EU code to spare, I'd appreciate one. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the streams. Smash on!!

I was platinum in the us no email yet if anyone has an extra and can share with me I'd appreciate it. If someone does and I get my email later I'll share my codes codes

Platinum last year here, haven't gotten the e-mail yet and when I checked my notifications (through all the CN server overload) it wasn't checked off. I'm afraid I'm not going to get the code so if any kind soul could, in SmashGAF, give me a code that would be nice... :(
