I don't think it'll be the best solution but it's kind of neat. I like using my Vita as a PS4 controller. If I get good enough with Smash 3DS and I have a bunch of people over for Wii U, I could always use that instead of one of the other peripherals.
I'm pretty sure it's too late. Happened to me in the past for other promos.
