I just realized something--is the underground variant of Mushroomy Kingdom even in the game? It's never been pictured, no one mentioned it from the demo (though that would require someone actually picking Mushroomy Kingdom, and I don't blame them), and there isn't really an available button to switch between the two versions (R+L control music and X sets to Final Destination mode, of which the Mushroomy Kingdom version is seen in the scans).

Not that I'd miss it per se, because it was even worse than the overworld version, but just something interesting I realized.

I've always assumed they purposely made Mario average in this and his sports games so that he didn't have any big weaknesses/make him a good starting point for people. Nice to see that sorta shake up this go around.

Well, we haven't heard the actual title version of the theme yet. Right now, the best version for me is the CSS, unless that's what you're talking about.

I don't see why they'd leave it out, can always just make it get randomly selected. However if it were gone due to the reasons you mentioned I guess I wouldn't be surprised.
 
Lonk. He's ok I guess. My least favourite character to play among the Zelda reps, but not bad.

To be fair Mario could end up being "average" if half of the cast is still better then him

Watched ZeRo's link video and it made me smile. I'm going to try to main shulk, but I'll still probably main link again since he was my previous main along with toon link. Also, smiled so much when Link's shield (as in the physical one that he carries, not the shield mechanic) blocked megaman's forward smash entirely

Only R is needed to control music. Holding R changes the border of the stages on the bottom screen to red. L does nothing.

No reason why music change can't change it to underground, with appropriate underground music, also.

In Brawl he was less "average" and more "hahahaha". Seriously, his Brawl knockback and hitboxes were garbage.

Link's gotta be seen destroying people in tournies and shit, get him out there and generate more interest in him. Boost sales of main line Zeldas.

Wonder if he'll keep his Melee victory animations. Would be nice if they replaced the one that's is an exact copy of Mario's. Gotta have the fist pump from the actual games.
