Sorry, that wasn't my intention; I just felt I had nothing to add to what was said.
It made sense for the original format, where players were going to be ranked in the same ladder (no doubles).
It's still there as part of our final format, which is Akuma's work.
I know of at least one more player that was forced to choose networks.

I'll be online later tonight, see if we can resolve this.
