What they've made instead is really cheesy. Really anything in the vein of what I posted above I feel would be a lot better and give her a stronger visual identity.

The coat suit is pretty neat. I really think they should've tried to do something new or more modern at least.

I have to admit, unless there is skin showing, the mini skirt just seems pointless. If they want to do a less sexy version of Supergirl, I would rather see her wear pants than the skirt with stockings and high boots. It just seems ugly to me.

People would just call it a catsuit then.

Obviously, replace the Smallville-style Kryptonian 8 with an actual S symbol. And use blue instead of white. But you get what I'm going for. or Mahmud, rather.

I'm not feeling the actress in the role, she gorgeous but not really fitting the role as I was picturing in my head. She looks more like she belongs on greys anatomy. I'm interest to see how she goes in reality though. I remember laughing my arse off when the shots of Hugh Jackson as wolverine were leaked before X1 Years ago and I was proven wrong there.

Like the top half is alright but when it gets to the belt/gold trim it's like they squished the image.

Funny, just looked at Helen Slater as Supergirl and the skirt looks fine. But here I just think it looks dumb. I think it's the skirt, boots and leggings. It's lost its simplicity.

The colors are too dark and she doesn't look or convey the statue of Supergirl whatsoever. She looks like an office receptionist who's cosplaying as Supergirl at the next comic con.

yeah I don't think the design I posted is perfect by any means but it's definitely a step in the right direction which is giving kara something that stands out and is unique to herself

A little dark and not that colorful but it's DC so no suprise there. It would look a lot better if the S didn't look so cheap and the boots were shorter. Not a fan of the sort of see through material but at least her cape is a reasonable length unlike the MoS costume.
