right now theres no strange engineer or scout stuff, though I believe you can use a strange shotgun on engineer.

I like how I have about thirty more points than Neroh but also 30 more hours. But to be fair I sometimes get on the GAF server when no one is on to test out stuff or explore maps. Also I'm terrible.

That shades offer for the Heavy is reaaaally tempting, since I got a Strange Sticky, and dunno if I'll use it that much (Playing lots of Pyro these days).

Pretty sure theres been some times hes just goofed off solo on the server which would definitely lower it. For example he did just that right before the uber update when none of us were on the server due to item reset. You're not going to earn a lot of points by yourself even in an hour.

Because that site is probably inaccurate. Usually when Javaman plays he's near the top of the scoreboard. Also, I should probably be higher, seeing as a lot of my time is just me running around on an empty server testing mods and such. You don't get points for that!

Anyway, if you people REALLY want stat-tracking I could add it to the server, though I'd rather not, honestly.

Anyway, I guess I'll look into adding some stat tracking stuff. From what I remember the two popular ones are HLStatsX and GameMe. I'll do some research and see which one is better.

All I know is that everyone uses HLStatsX. I don't know if its because its easier to setup or its actually better... but most servers use that one.

It looks like that's probably because gameME costs money whereas HLStatsX is free. There's also some other ones that are free as well, so I'll check into those. If I do end up adding anything it likely won't be until Sunday.

For those wondering why their points seem oddly low on that tracker, I'm pretty sure it only tracks kills, and not points in the way the game tracks. So medics will have a lot fewer points than those who play other classes.

I'm a stat whore. I LOVE seeing numbers for certain things and stuff. I love useless stats like steps taken, encounters fled, damage taken, damage dealt, etc., in RPGs, plus things like the L4D stats. SO GOOD.

That said, I don't know how I'd feel about stats on the GAF server. How would it work? Would we see them pop up while we play or something? I don't know if I've ever played on a server with stats to know.

Lots of servers will post a message in the chat log when you do stuff (die, get a kill, cap a point, etc.), but I'd disable all that stuff. What you'd do is just type !rank into the chat and it'd tell you your own personal stats. !top10 will tell you the stats of the top 10 players.

If you wanted to see more detailed stats and/or browse stats there'd be a website where you'd have to go.

The scramble plugin we use has that options, but since we don't have any stat tracking plugins we can't really use it.

Oh, I guess I have played in those kinds of servers, then. The chat stuff is very obnoxious, so it's good you wouldn't do that. It also sounds like it wouldn't be much of an interference if you do it, since it'd be a behind-the-scenes kind of thing.

I'm game for experimenting with it. If it sucks, it sucks.

I think my laptop is shitting the bed. First TF2 goes back to single digit FPS, then an HD video looks all messed up, and now chrome is slow as hell(Same as FF, IE, and Opera). This sucks.
