Yeah, reporting in general suggests knife attack.

How can Europe and the U.K. Address the problem of terrorism without infringing on the rights of muslims to practice their religion?

BBC news showed that pub video and there was a guy who did shout "Muslim cunts". The presenter immediately apologied.

A form of attack you can no way prepare for... I wouldn't be surprised if this is used regularly by terrorists from now on in highly populated areas here.
You can prepare by going after the terrorists, going after the cells, going after the radical clerics, going after those who are traveling back and forth between Britain and terrorist HQ in the middle east. Longer and harsher sentences, deportations, revoking of citizenship, enhanced surveillance.

What can you do? If they know of them but have no evidence to prosecute them. Do we put people in jail due to our suspicions?

I don't know. Radicalization inside prisons is a growing problem. I think when these people decide to take trips to Syria or Libya we should be able to revoke their citizenship. I don't care about their human rights or right to a "family life". Ideally you wouldn't want such people strolling around freely. What's the alternative? Just live with it? We mop up the blood off streets, pray for solidarity, hold vigils pretend that terrorism hasn't changed us, and wait for the next attack and repeat the ritual. It feels as if these guys wield all the power: strike anywhere, anytime on a whim.If you happen to be caught up in it then tough luck. This idea that you have to just get used to living among people who are secretly plotting mass murder while we walk around like sitting ducks feels like bullshit to me.

Eye witness says in the video here the gunshots were from police. Unclear exactly if they hit the attackers or what was going on.

By getting the extremists? Close extremist mosques, listen to the warning signals from the community - Manchester attacker was reported multiple times by people he knew! - and remove these people from society asap. Little to do with someones ability to pray in their own home or place of worship really.

Out of London this weekend visiting my parents, but this makes me sick to my stomach. Have a lot of friends living in that area, just hoping for the best right now.

This is terrible. I guess, we'll never know, but I wonder if this was a possible planned attack the UK raised their alertness for after the Manchester terrorist attack.

There isn't really a solution.

Just beyond me how you get to such a state of being influenced that you can cold bloodiedly kill like this.

Of course guns are not the solution to terrorism, they just a way to end the menace faster after it happened. Provided you have police around the place.

Anyway, what's the solution in your opinion?

There is none, that's why this form of cowardice is so widely accepted by attackers like this. A van, and some blades were all that was needed to cause devastation tonight. There are more militant responses, like firearms for instance, more humane and philosophical responses about how to try and stem this tide of hatred, thus cutting off a lot of potential recruits, privacy measures - that are already taken massive hits these past few years etc. When all you need is a white transit van and some knives, as well as the sick motivation to do this, there really is no solution. No, scratch that, there are; they are sadly very long term and seemingly ineffective at the present.

It's terrible how shocked and apologetic that they were cause they had someone say cunt yet it's fine to talk ad nauseum about people being killed.

There are broadcasting "guidelines". Talking about people getting killed is strangely more acceptable than the c word being broadcasted at 00:30 am

:\

Trump's first comment on this incident was to fucking retweet The Drudge Report.

His second was to use the incident to convince people to ban Muslims from the country.

The third was what you would think would be his first comment.

It's being broadcast around the world so it's understandable. If it was just the UK then it wouldn't be a big problem.

Wow person on CNN saying someone jumped from the bridge to the water to escape.

Yep, and there are police boats patrolling over there for that.

I've walked London Bridge dozens of times. Thats a fucking big drop to the water from there.

Dont think that will change much, these people are hidden from mainstream muslims. Something needs to be done, im at the point now where we really need to think about certain freedoms.
