I think that it's going to come down to the Cubbies and the Stros. It's too bad that the Astros seem to be peaking while Carnival Wrigleyville distracts the fans, players, managers and announcers from what's important.
I'm prognosticating that this whole Florida series is going to get rained out and the Cubbies are going to need to sweep the fish in a three-game set after the season to tie for the wild card.

i hope the Yankees do sign Beltran. It'll make it even funnier (and more pathetic) when they fail to once again win the World Series, since Beltran won't add anything that team doesn't already have.

The Astros have a more pressing need for a fast centerfielder than the Yankees do... you can't even begin to argue that fact. With that said, they'll probably get them just because the Yankees can outbid anyone.

It's sad when the team you've watched your entire life implodes like this. The only other time I was this mad was the Giants choking against the 49ers in the playoffs a few years back.

No you can't, and I don't expect to.
However, all those championships don't dampen the fact that the team is fucking collapsing. I'd rather be in the cellar all season than sitting in 1st with a comfy 10 1/2 game lead just to have it fall apart. Losing is one thing, choking is another.

Well, it looks like Sundays game has been cancelled too which means no Cubs/Marlins game this weekend.
Also, it sounds like one of the three Marlin home games will now be played at Wrigley later this week.
Instead of a three game series this weekend at wrigley, there is talk friday game will be a double header, then normal saturday/sunday games. 4 instead of 3.
Also, another double header will be played out on September 20 in Florida to make up the last two games. Sounds like MLB is gonna give one of the home Floirda games to Chicago whether they protest or not.

Since the series was supposed to be played in Miami, home turf the Marlins more or less have final say of what happens. If everything gets too ridiculous then MLB would step in.
