Giants are screwed. They play too much of San Diego and LA down the stretch.

So it comes down to the Cubs/Marlins/Asstros! Once we win the next two games we'll be in great shape! Look at the fricking Phillies...they are only 4.5 back now! Is this gonna be a 6 team race?!?!

Damn that was a great ending to a great game. I have to say im sorry for doubting the Dodgers interest in Steve Finley, DAMN! Although our pitching wasnt improved in the trades we did manage to get where we are with the current Pitching Roster. Hopefully Brad Penny can heal soon and get back to the rotation for some relief. 2-3 isnt too much to ask for is it? Weaver is up tommorow so hopefully he can go out there and throw another gem for us. Damn Kamakazi Kaz and your 7+ runs per game run support came through again

Bases Loaded, two outs, full count, tied 2-2, bottom of the eight, Lee just nailed a bases clearing double!!! WOOO! It's the hit that is gonna be remembered as the push that leads the Cubs forward to the playoffs! 5-2 Cubs!

Hawkins striking the side out was amazing. Can you believe that!? Oh, and Sosa played great today. The fact that he talked with Dusty and agreed on batting in the 6th speaks real well on his behalf. He gets a lot of hate but he's not claiming this to be his team or demands a 3rd or 4th spot. He contributed real well today. Oh, and Nomar really isn't looking good right now. I dunno whether to sit him for a long time to where he could deal with the injury for more than 2 games in a row or ask him to play anyday he's good. Only thing is I haven't seen him play good since that first week with the Cubs.
Ah well, keeping Aramis in is far more important. That guy changes the whole team. He never strikes out hardly and is incredibly clutch. I like our chances if we have him and Alou batting back to back in the 3/4 spot through 9 innings and not being subbed out sometime. Oh, and great game by Zambrano. Had 2 runs come in early, 1 unearned and the other on a broken bat. Then he manned down and pitched great and kept our team's confidence up being only down 2-0 throughout. Great game overall though I really hope we start getting some runs early. Hopefully Glendon Rusch pitches a great game tomorrow and we could take 3 in a row from the Marlins. Reminds me of that huge series with the Cardinals last year that sent us with a ton of momentum into the stretch run
