grrrr.. Cubs better put something together in these last 2 innings. At least dont end it quiet. Throw that lineup out there from game 1 if you have to. I dont want to see any bullshit at bats. All I see now are k's and groundballs

Dude, don't fret it. It's all smooth sailing from here on out. We got Pittsburg, Mets, Cincy all coming up (Oh yeah 3 against the Braves but we'll crush them we always do). Win or lose, we got this wild card locked up. Houston has to play the Giants for 3 starting tommorrow. Then they still have 3 with St. Louis. Then the Giants also have 6 left with LA.

I guess you want to ignore the fact that we beat St. Louis 2 out of 3 games while we wren't hitting all that hot. Astros are finding ways to win... pitching has been great lately.

Nooo! I wanted Nomar to get up as tying run at the plate. Ah well. Ended when Walker's hr was robbed. I didnt even see the ball land in the glove, just seen Encarnacion's back against the wall and assumed it was gonna sail over and jumped up only to hear "did her get it? He did!". Cubs better turn it on again now. that 6 of 7 was a good streak but we got Pitt, Mets, and Cincy as said in the next 9. If we go on any tiny bit of a losing streak the wild card lead can dissappear so easily with only 12 games left. Not that we have the lead now but in the loss column we're tied

When did Javier Vasquez start to suck? The guys thrown 95 pitches in 5 innings. Yanks can't hit, usual suckage after Boston series that's come to be expected.

However, looks like Boston's getting spanked again.

When he went from playing in front of 10k "fans" in Montreal to playing in front of 50k people like the fat dick sucking dude from the Sopranos. There's lots of previously good players who fold in the East Coast pressure cookers.

Well, after making Weathers look like something other than a desperation sixth starter, surely the Cubs will come out hot against Josh Fogg. Plus Wood's pitching.

Also, Schilling tries to stop Boston's 3 game losing streak. If it gets any worse the season ending series with NY will be so much window dressing.

I asked the same question during the 2nd game loss in florida. He's being wasted. Not only that but if Lee's slumping like he's been.. Him, Sosa, and Grudzielanek all in a row is killing our lineup. If Walker was in their in place for Grudzie or Barret replaced Grudzielanek, we'd be much better off. A shot yesterday by him which only was a solo because he was in the 8th spot. Today, 2 doubles with nobody on either time. He's consistently batted .300 the whole year too.

Rodrigo Lopez and Curt Schilling are pitching amazing against each other right now. 10 K's for Curt, 7 for Rodrigo, 2 hits for Baltimore, 4 for Boston, no runs...

The bizarro Yanks are playing today...
Loaiza acutally pitched a decent game (but threw a ton of pitches).
Heredia pitched 2/3 scoreless so far and even struck someone out.
Giambi hit a home run.

Fuck for some reason, Torre insists on letting Quantrill pitch.. first batter hits a single. Gee who'd of thunk.

Holy shit .. Schillings thrown 79 strikes and only 20 balls. That's insane.

Mercker and Dempster are the effecient ones. Reasons for us having that bullpen streak. They should be the set up and closer guys
