Yup. Was in a similar situation in high school and realized the error of my ways.

Granted, I have like no friends now, but that's more because my schedule / workload is fucking insane. I moved some things around and it's looking like I'll only have to take four classes rather than six this next semester, though. Going to be soooooo much easier.

Just a little thing of dark chocolate, nothing too expensive. And today I place it on their desk. She was happy, although a tad happier than I would have expected. I was pleased.

All of a sudden it was revealed to me via intercom (my school does that) that today is the friend's birthday. I completely forgot (or rather, I may never have known, I'm bad with birthdays).
