Mob Psycho by the same dude is more engaging/fulfilling.
Helps to think Saitama is the nuke killstreak that the other team gets if you kill or beat enough of them.
Ends everything.

Or if the other heroes weren't just jobbers. Poor Genos gets mopped up constantly.

Nature of the biz lol

I think at it's core, OPM is about life failing to live up to expectations. Saitama gains immeasurable strength at the cost of his hair, and even then it ends up being a letdown. People actually looked up to as heroes end up being petty and weak, and the whole thing seems random. DEEP

I bet ONE likes No More Heroes

Which would be fine if there were any tension or reason to care about the proceedings. I haven't read the manga, so maybe things get better, but right now I'm mainly in it for the animation.

Honestly they'll probably either nerf him or wrap it up before too long.

They could give him problems he can't punch away too

They just focus on Saitama less and less so the gimmick doesn't get old (currently the Murita version of the manga focuses on an antagonist). But I think the anime is ending soon though so you won't see much of that (they also skipped a side story or two, which is too bad).

I'm up to date as far as the collection books, and unfortunately there's not much different thematically from where the anime is right now.

ED: Oh yeah, forgot about the new antagonist

If I wass about that life I would write a think piece on how Walking Dead shits on black male characters. If was about that life.

I'm amazed this isn't already a thing.

I mean, I wouldn't read it cause I dropped that shit in Season 2, but I'm amazed an article or two hasn't found its way to my twitter feed.

Shouldn't have left Team Ninja.
Shouldnt have been a little bitch about exclusives.

So, this is basically Daikatana, no?

It's a completely mediocre third person cover shooter with some store brand melee mechanics. The bosses are bad jokes and the plot seems to take place in the remnants of a discarded CoD campaign.

The story just seems to be Itagaki's giant power fantasy rip off of Kill Bill complete with an underage apprentice/waifu.

Is that show actually worth a damn? I've just always dismissed it as something that only existed to throw as many Disney characters into one thing as possible.

I keep wanting to get into it, cause it has no shame in using the Disney name and properties.

None of the characters are exactly their Disney incarnations. The ones that were made originally by Disney are, but ones that are based on existing fairy tales, legends, folk tales, and greek mythology aren't exactly. Peter Pan is
evil as f**k
, for example. And Lancelot and Merlin are black. And Belle is Australian.

If you've ever read Fables, it's like that, but it's like that but toned down to be less gritty. 2nd season's the low point. If you make it through that you'll be fine.
IF they really wanted to burn something, they should go hard and make human representations of their OCs. Human goofy, human donald.

There's a reference to Mickey. And Emma will occasionally reference their Disney counterparts. Poor Hook, learning the truth...Honestly we're just waiting for it to turn into Kingdom Hearts. It's so close.

Yo Tevin Campbell! Sing Eye to Eye! Damn it.

isn't a black male just a zombie that isn't dead yet?

Zombies are of Haitian origin so...

Anyhow, you weebs got to stop the bullshit. Talmbout "Asian porn is more realistic than American porn"

not really and it's getting worse in it's subtext
darkness = sexual which the show is more or less pushing since day 1 but it's somehow worse now. Also they basically has been spending season turning a stalker into a "good" guy

Where you're from - Fort Konx, Kentucky
Where you live - Great Falls, Montana ;_;
What is your age? - 22
Your cultural heritage, lineage and genealogy - I'm black, from as long as I saw back, all the way back to my great great grandparents
Do you know your roots - Unforunately not. I know I have family scattered all over the southern part of the US, with some more in West Virginia and Ohio
Favorite musical genre - Rap, Electronica, Jazz
Your profession/major/career interest - I am in the Air Force as Services. We provide Services for folk. It's fine.
Your religious affiliation - None
Hobbies - Reading, writing, video games, music, and sports
KFC, Popeye's, Churches, or Bojangles? - Well, Popeye's been keeping me sane here in Montana, so they my favorite now.

Yeah Great Falls is lame. Move to Bozeman or Missoula or something.

Where you live - Buffalo, NY
What is your age? - 34
Your cultural heritage, lineage and genealogy - Black culture is celebrated on both my maternal and paternal sides of my family. I'm uncertain of my lineage and genealogy as my father's father is a bit of an unknown. From what I've been told, he's of Italian decent, but I've yet to have this discussion with my grandmother. It's a complicated issue. However, I know I have some Irish (Great great grandmother) and Native/Seneca (Great Grandmother) blood pumping in my veins. Who knows what other genes I have. What I do know is that there's more African in me than anything else lol.
Favorite musical genre - I have a very open-minded view on music, and my eclectic taste reflect that. Hip-hop will always be my first love though.
Your profession/major/career interest - I went to university for Computer Science, but wasn't passionate about it, and presently I have no desire to revisit that industry. I am passionate about people, and I'd like to find something that allows me to work on an interpersonal and/or intimate level with others. For the time being, I've been volunteering at various local non-profit organizations.
Your religious affiliation - Christian
Hobbies - This is difficult for me to answer, as I have diverse hobbies and interests. Video games (of course), Film, Photography, to name a few. Recently, I've contemplated the idea of video blogging. Just seems like a fun and interesting way to connect with others.
KFC, Popeye's, Churches, or Bojangles? - KFC by default. My last visit there I was underwhelmed, and found the chicken to be a bit salty, but I probably would return for a famous bowl or two. It's been a hot minute since I've been to Popeye's, so the flavor of their chicken is lost on me. I do recall enjoying it though. Churches and Bojangles I've never had.
Fun fact - I played some organized hockey in high school -- Actually played a ton of hockey recreationally throughout my youth. I was somewhat of an anomaly given my race and economic background. Kids from my neighborhood didn't take to the sport like I did. I haven't played in ages, but I remain an avid fan (Go Sabres) of the game.

Another Buffalonian. Finally, someone that can understand my anxiety on Sundays.

Dog, you have no idea how much I understand lol. I might be done for the rest of the season because I'm not sure I can handle another game. I swear, that team will be the death of me.

bitch I'm taking calls.
Getting some good new blood in here lately. Welcome new recruits. If Slay calls you a young blood don't worry about it. But if he asks you to let him hold some ends and promises he'll hit you back at the end of the month, don't listen.

*balls up piece of paper*

"KOBE!!"

*shoots it towards trash can*

*misses by 5 feet*

Also, everyone point and laugh at Jandro and the Patriots
Damn, taking out 2 fan bases at the same time. Why not just squirt in their eyes? Also known as 'KOBE!'

Nothing will fill my heart more of joy than watching Scam dab on these fools for his first chip.

Young blood is fine, Youngblood would be a different story.

I'm pretty sure people who complain about Saitama being overpowered or Genos jobbing don't "get" OPM. The show/manga is not really about Saitama's hero journey but more about what it means to be a hero and defying expectations (in both good and bad ways). It's the same way the presence of Dr. Manhattan doesn't "ruin" Watchmen because the the whole thing was about a lot more than just him. It also serves as a huge subversion of the classic shonen/superhero formula. Genos is the pretty boy with a tragic backstory and a really cool power set. In most other series, he would be the hero but instead he's the try-hard. Saitama doesn't struggle for his victories or grow longer hair as he becomes more powerful - in fact he does the complete opposite. His obvious bouts of depression are also atypical.

Great Cast + Good and Subversive Humour + Amazing Art (manga) or Amazing Animation (anime) + Interesting World Building = Good Series

Google doesn't give me a clear answer so tell me ClosetAnimeGAF: Is OPM's power just that he's really strong is it literally "He can beat anything with one punch"

If it's the latter I'm not giving it the time of day.

He doesn't have a "superpower", he's just really, REALLY strong. There's a hypothesis about how he got that strong but that's kind of spoilers and still unconfirmed anyway. But "oh noes there's no tension" is again kind of missing the point I feel. IMO of course.

Smh at Kobe's retirement poem. Hopefully this season finally ends the BS GOAT discussions about how Kobe > Jordan.
