Where you're from - Buffalo, NY
Where you live - Buffalo, NY
What is your age? - 34
Your cultural heritage, lineage and genealogy - Black culture is celebrated on both my maternal and paternal sides of my family. I'm uncertain of my lineage and genealogy as my father's father is a bit of an unknown. From what I've been told, he's of Italian decent, but I've yet to have this discussion with my grandmother. It's a complicated issue. However, I know I have some Irish (Great great grandmother) and Native/Seneca (Great Grandmother) blood pumping in my veins. Who knows what other genes I have. What I do know is that there's more African in me than anything else lol.
Favorite musical genre - I have a very open-minded view on music, and my eclectic taste reflect that. Hip-hop will always be my first love though.
Your profession/major/career interest - I went to university for Computer Science, but wasn't passionate about it, and presently I have no desire to revisit that industry. I am passionate about people, and I'd like to find something that allows me to work on an interpersonal and/or intimate level with others. For the time being, I've been volunteering at various local non-profit organizations.
Your religious affiliation - Christian
Hobbies - This is difficult for me to answer, as I have diverse hobbies and interests. Video games (of course), Film, Photography, to name a few. Recently, I've contemplated the idea of video blogging. Just seems like a fun and interesting way to connect with others.
KFC, Popeye's, Churches, or Bojangles? - KFC by default. My last visit there I was underwhelmed, and found the chicken to be a bit salty, but I probably would return for a famous bowl or two. It's been a hot minute since I've been to Popeye's, so the flavor of their chicken is lost on me. I do recall enjoying it though. Churches and Bojangles I've never had.
Fun fact - I played some organized hockey in high school -- Actually played a ton of hockey recreationally throughout my youth. I was somewhat of an anomaly given my race and economic background. Kids from my neighborhood didn't take to the sport like I did. I haven't played in ages, but I remain an avid fan (Go Sabres) of the game.
