Well, like I said in the thread before I was called a black moron, you have people reacting to the pieces of what he said at various points on the timeline, as few outlets are reporting the whole thing. It's still a problem for his campaign that pieces can be received badly, but with the hindsight goggles it's all good.

Also damn at that dedicated Slay fanbase lol

Edit: I didn't like the Runaways then again I just about don't like anything too obviously for teens.

The whole thing between Bernie and Hillary feels like you are just seeing the difference in experience levels when it comes to campaigning and talking to minority voters. Bernie is used to only needing white votes and it's really been showing recently.

Funny thing is I actually like Sanders' ideas but I'm not kidding myself about their marketability. You look in that thread about his tax hike proposal and see his most likely support base is not feeling that. On top of that, his inability to sell himself articulately to the voters who aren't yet on board with him is a problem for the campaign, whether people admit it or not.

Black people are what, 13%? Find another scapegoat for general apathy, lads.

well you take a group, amorphous and difficult to contain or classify, and the Powers will always try to find a figurehead or a representative figure, if only for the integrity of their own worldview. This is never a winning play for the other side, but it can be used to maintain a campaign of misdirection and disinformation to any counter intelligence activities that may or may not be lurking in the bushes.

I don't get the mental disorder that someone has to have to think issuing death threats (or rape threats or whatever) to people you disagree with is logical or healthy. I simply do not get it.

I don't know if it's necessarily a mental disorder. It's a slippery slope though where if folks never took the time to think about why they're angry, they'll go down it.

I've only ever gotten death threats on Reddit. I try to dissociate my various social media accounts. Nothing anyone couldn't figure out with a little effort, but still.

Wait. I also got threats on my first porn tumblr account. Dudebros kept telling me that theu wanted to rape me and the various other litany of abuse hurled at presumed female internet residents. That blog ended up way too fucking big for me to handle so I deleted it. I don't think I ever want 100000 people paying attention to me again 😰

Then again, tumblr was much more abuser friendly back in 2009.

It is a mental disorder if you ask me. Sociopathy, dissociation from consequence, mob mentality, pathological narcissism. The question is which description is the most accurate.

Almost none of the political talk in here has been constructive. And I don't want to get sucked into the vortex of self loathing that is arguing with other people with similar philosophies but just happen to have a different candidate. People's overzealousness fucks evrything up.
