I probably didn't articulate myself well when I originally quoted Rio, but this is what I was trying to get at. Terrorism isn't seen as terrorism in this country/in the media unless it is done by a foreigner, usually from an Islamic region of the world. Groups like the KKK, neo nazis, that cattle farmer and the Aryan soldiers, are all terrorists and should be labeled as such. But instead it is always "hate crime", "mental illness", "extremists" etc... Even "domestic terrorist" is a bs term meant to let the public know it isn't a "real" terrorist group. If the Boston marathon bombing had been done by Adam Lanza, it would have been blamed on Mass Effect or a Kendrick Lamar track.
What's the difference between a suicide bomber from Pakistan who hates the US, and an Aryan Soldier who hates Jewish people and black people? It's all hate and terror, but it's who the hate and terror is directed towards that is important to the media and the viewing public. Unless these incidents get a twitter hashtag, a high kill count, Kanye complaints, or a YouTube video with a lot of hits, no one will care. Not downplaying the shit you've seen though since the domestic terrorists IMO are the most dangerous and I am glad you guys are at least seeing this. It is just bs that it always takes a foreigner vs "true American" element for people to call a spade a spade.
