Don't get me wrong, the Library can suck, by all means. When I tried getting the "complete the Library on Legendary without dying" achievement I stayed back with the unlimited ammo skull and waited for everything to spawn and shotgunned it so I didn't get flanked. The waves aren't unlimited, per se, but there are a ton of spawns assigned.

I think I l've had more interest in the Civil War lately, that and Napoleonic wars.
That doesn't sound too fun. From what I learned, slaughterish stuff doesn't necessarily have to bare down to the enemy count being in the 4-5K mark. It can be 100+ and still be a hell of a hassle cause of the way the level handles the encounters.
But the library sucks so I imagine it's not very fun and more of a swarming thing. Good job with that achievement though.
Because the US "won", and on the world stage.
I'm glad Marvel is adapting CW for cap. What story arc is Napoleonic? Is that a Namor arc?

Because in that war we were the good guys, saved the world, showed off our dominance with a nuke, and killed the most evil person in the galaxy.
Also, if you really want to get into - war coverage was something that was just unheard of at the time. Cameras change a lot of things.

There aren't many wars with definitive good guys and bad guys like WW2.
It's government sponsored murder you can actually feel good about because it happened to a group that was actually just that horrible.

it's the last war the west was involved in where there was objectively a "good" side and a "bad" side. like i don't think there were any doubts or moral grey areas as to how fucked up the third reich was.
plus it brought about huge change to the world. made US and Russia into the superpowers they are now and birthed the UN.
Its the first war where storytelling like that could reach the world scale

As someone who goes to Japan on an annual basis, you should probably not try to take Japanese otaku culture as the norm in Japan. It's certainly not and treated much the same as it is here.
Dude I know, Felipe Smith, moved to Japan to become a mangaka. His manga, Peepo Choo had a character who directly dealt with this issue of perception.
That's not to say that stuff doesn't happen, but it's not everywhere and its not average. And that's before getting into Japan's issues with sexism and committed relationships.
Soju will mess you up and that shit is tasteless and odorless.
Also if you want to get props are your local Korean liquor store, ask for the soju.
