Truth. I still fucking love Japan. Beautiful combination of city, rural, and easily available public transportation.

But it's just another place.

I somehow end up maining the worst character every game. Mained Pichu in Melee, Ganondorf in Brawl. Plan on maining Ganondorf in Smash 4 so chances are he'll get nerfed to hell and back.

Synopsis sounds interesting.

Yeah, I think the more places you spend time in, you realize there are positives and negatives everywhere, just variations on a theme and what might affect you the most.

I still don't like how so many people are adamant in holding on to their locations and standings in areas that are 'less than accommodating' at this point in history

He may lack killing power but Sonic's recovery, speed and movement options at least kept him low mid-tier in Brawl. Ganondorf is a testament in Brawl that pure killing power doesn't get you far, if anything.

I'm planning on maining Ganondorf in Smash 4, secondary-ing ROB, G&W and Wii Fit Trainer, amd then tertiary-ing Little Mac, Greninja, Captain Falcon and Samus.

Of course, you see it around here all the time. People ignore the bad aspects of where they live and get defensive when they're brought up. You can still enjoy the good aspects of something/somewhere while also recognizing the bad and even try to make things better.

This reminds me of that Japanese interview with the fat white rich otaku. He was roasted by his Japanese interviewers for being such a lame. Glorious train wreck of a man. It was fucking cringeworthy.

In another thread somebody linked a long-ass article laying out how Japan's economic slump forced entertainment industries to laser-focus on fringe groups because mainstream consumers are basically in survival mode. AKB48 might be like the most popular group in Japan appealing to idol otakus, but that's because most young Japanese people in general aren't buying music like, at all.
