Microsoft can't afford to have its marquee franchise get this kind of negative criticism. They don't have much else on the pipeline. Sony has enough of a worldwide market to sell without any standout first party games; Microsoft doesn't.

What is it with AAA gaming this year? Everyone is releasing broken shit. Even that wack "PS4 has no games (that I like)" meme is irrelevant, because even first party games are broken. The only one releasing any working games is Nintendo, but they tryin'a sell a 2006 console with 2003 network infrastructure in 2014.

They sell that way because GT, Uncharted, etc all show up, so it's a pretty safe bet.
But I agree that the negative attention isn't good.

How Smash Bros/Nintendo free online gonna have better functionality day one than XBL Gold MCC and the blank check MS wrote them niggas tho

I wonder if 343i (or any of the other maligned studios) is full of employees who used to be game journalists and used that as a springboard into the industry, instead of actually learning the essential skills.

I mean, it's the only way to explain how they seem not to know what the fuck they are doing.

It would also explain some of the dumbass quotes about resolution and framerate...

I remember when you have a beef with someone or take issue with some words, you just come back, release a diss track and uploaded on zshare or megaupoad v1.0 and be talked about it on the school bus the next day. All this taking the high road on twitter isn't in the rapper's starter pack.

Same shit they did with Halo 4, outsourced the maps, UI, armor designs, music. Games built by 343 different companies.

343 is making Halo 5, they obviously didn't have anybody really overseeing this. Say what you will about Halo 4 but it worked. Outsourcing like this was playing with fire. 4 different net codes 6 graphics engines all working together.

When Em came on that "Not Afraid" tip, everyone was all like "We want the old Em back, I wish he was on drugs again." People shit on Recovery, but dude had made some legit strides with his subject matter (that ain't saying much, though). But everyone wants the old Em just like everyone wants the old Jigga. And now, Em is trying to deliver that. Nigga is 42 dying his hair and making rape lyrics against pop stars.

But Em has been doing this shit for years, that's what's so fucked up about all of it. His fans want that, and he's trying to deliver. Even though I like most of his new stuff, it's pretty obvious he's making music by committee. If you want his music to show some growth, then let him grow. But, as long as he's under pressure from both his label and his fans, he'll keep doing this shit until it's no longer commercially viable...

EDIT: Also, TI won't diss Em. They've been best friends since Proof died, according to both of them...

Nah man they went at me with all that complex interview shit. Twice too. "What are your strengths/weaknesses?" "Describe a situation in which you and a team accomplished a goal." etc. This came after a computer test where I had to do a bunch of division in my head.

Mind you, this is a mostly backroom job.
