That's because you just played the games like a normal person. For example, most people in the US have played a Mario game at some point in their lives. But most people didn't get mad at Miyamoto for destroying the Mario Mythos by introducing Bowser Jr. Now take crazy fans like that, add the fact that the Sonic characters are animals which appeals to furry fans + Sonic Team failing to make a great Sonic game since the Genesis and you get a whole different level of crazy fans.

I won't, it just troubled me for a moment to see so many going down the path of foolishness.
Can't lie though, Sonic has taken some major L's over the years.

Serious question though, which franchise has lived as long and not taken it's fair share of dips?

The Genesis had a fucking awesome sound chip. I wish we got something similar today with similar tinny / metallic / bubbly sounds. The closest thing I can find is FM8.

Ecco the Dolphin's soundtrack is fucking grating, though. I mean, I get it's a neat sound, but it hasn't aged well. It needs to get some highs cut.

EDIT: Fun fact: most of the new synths in Halo Reach's soundtrack (including a guitar riff sample thing) came from FM8.

Sega Genesis never gets the love it truly deserves. It ran sports games better, had blood in mortal kombat with help of the code, sonic was dropping bangers like nasir jones in his prime, streets of rage trilogy, and that blast processing man.

Also it had the better sound out of the nintendo...sure nintendo had a superior sound, but you can't knock that sub woofer thump and bass.

I think we all just grew with a Genesis

You tried playing football games on the snes :/

The only thing snes got right sports wise was the baseball games. Sega sports had the game on lock. NBA Jam was godtier on the genesis. Hell even wrestling games ran a little better on the genesis than the snes.

I went through 3 dreamcast consoles and still end up with the same result. It was great but goddamn it wasn't a ps2.

Folks like to hype the cast to the moon but at the end of the day it was a jet set radio machine.

Never noticed a difference aside from the superior visual fidelity on the SNES. But OK.

I had a job interview today and wanted to quit before he offered me the job. If I have two jobs that pay me $10 and $10.50 an hour does this count as L if I don't want to work the jobs? Dude hit me with the I've only worked here for a year and half, am now a manager, and don't have a degree. I'm not a violent person but if I was then I would've dragged dude at that moment. I'm only working to finance a visa to either another country, or relocation to Portlandia/Phoenix.

I bought this but am thinking I should go with another Canada Goose jacket. Any suggestions?

*EDIT*

I'm kind of conflicted with this purchase because I've heard of individuals around the world (not me of course, remember peaceful brand) who would rob someone for that coat.
