The issues with some of the skills is annoying though. Not sure how that made it into retail.
21 hours played and I feel like I’m only scratching the surface.
After last night's update, which I think was about 920MB on Xbox, I started having issues with my skills terminating within the first 10secs. Couple that with the fact that I had just hit Lvl 16 and the enemies are way amped up now and swarming like hornets. I had to stop playing so haphazardly and start think more tactically with correct transitions between cover and well-timed reloads.
Now I just hit Lvl 17 and it feels I've acclimated. Playing without skills sucks since the game is built around that. Even worse the AI tends to "watch" your skill usage and will storm you after it completes it's cycle. I noticed that with the flame turret. They stay away and the sec it's down they rush, so having it up for 5-10secs then glitching out makes it much harder to play against fully aggravated enemies.
I'm about 16hrs in, and like you said, just starting to learn to play the game correctly. The music and skirmishes on here are something else, though. Gets the adrenaline pumping. It's like the best Mass Effect 2&3 mission pushes, but all the time.
Loving it. Hearing that heavy guitar riff in my head all day. *Washing dishes, brushing teeth, etc* = ♫ ♫ Dun dun, dutut dun dun. Dun dun dutut dun dun ♫ ♫
