So i played dz solo and liked it. So in full game it would remane same in those DZ? As to play just alone against enemies sometimes helping others to beat some enemies and not doing any pvp. If that works then dz are amazing

dont think its changed from d1...you had lots of people helping take down enemies but once you got to extract the trolls come out and kill you

I will try 1st game dz then too. I thought its more pvp area or trolls arena. And what means agent went rogue? Means hes now bad and i can kill it.? What if i go rogue from hacking net? Then others hunt me? For now i enjoyed it and someone even rivived me once but just once.

I actually played Division first on the Xbox One and then switched to PC in part due to this reason.

But UI isn't amazing on PC. Feels like a port, and the long presses introduced in 2 are maddening. Hope that gets patched.

If you liked Division that much, why would you want it to feel significantly different? And what would you want changed or introduced?
Maybe a bit faster, faster movement or maybe they should get away from that "tom clancy" name already and go ape shit.
Dont know Division 2 just feels so boring and lifeless to me.

Loving the improvements from the first game:

- Better UI for managing items carried from Division 1's many updates
- Movement is way better, scaling stuff doesn't take a second of your character stopping to do anything
- AI isn't suicidal, they actually flank
- Not as spongy as the first game, I get they have to be in an RPG thats the whole point of leveling up, but it felt nicer, even at end game.
- Side missions are more fleshed out than just unlocking a door or doing some water supply valve turning
- I'm loving the interior design on pretty much everything, the environments are a big step up from Div 1.

Maybe you went to beta with bad mood or just too much expecting from it. For me its right move from devs, nice city nice vegetation in some places almost jungle feel at night in thick fog its feels amazing some places feels like silent hill then sunny day so nice and bright colors.

I might install the first game again just to help with the wait.

Really impressed with the beta. I went from not caring about the game > "fine, i'll buy it but on a sale" > "DAY 1"

Found myself agreeing with Joe on this one.


While I had some enjoyment of the first game, the 2nd once doesn't mix things up enough for me the fights get too repetitive, take cover, aim and shoot till things die 99% of the time.

And yeah the Clancy name keeps things too grounded and things can't get into sci-fi/fantasy territory where the enemy and weapons are concerned.

I thought I'd send off the beta with a Dark Zone session as a last chance to get hooked and it was just as empty as the first run I had in there. It was hard to see enemies because of the color, contrast, vegetation, and their strange placement. There were some instances where enemies were too far away for their health bars to come up, despite havng my crosshairs on them. That's just completely out of place in a stat-based game like the Division which revolves around processing information. It was also almost impossible for me to spot Rogues, one of whome killed me twice when I should have easily been able to see him ahead of time.

It really blows me away how anyone could say that this is an improvement over the Division 1, let alone anywhere near the same level. I get that the slower movement, armor system, and random spawns in theory should have made for a much more tactical game. But the cramped interiors and unresponsive abilities make it such a slog to play. And that's to say nothing of the unthinkably bad sound effects and fecal color palette. There's so much about this game on both the creative and design sides where I honestly find it hard to believe that this was made by the same studio.

You could stay away from Rogues since they show you where people are getting killed when it happens and the DZ was just one huge single area. I would also say there was usually more cooperation than competition.

I liked it. I mean, in the end, if D1 didn't really do it for you in its moment to moment gameplay, D2 wont do anything to change your mind.

I did think the game hits its stride in the harder content with a full squad. Solo play, it just feels like waves of enemies, that can overwhelm you quickly if you don't have the guns you want equipped. The harder content, feels more more tactical, and actually really great.

Share AngryJoe's feelings/opinions on this one almost entirely. Game is free with the videocard though so hopefully it gets better before release and deeper into the game.

Played the Beta for about 10 hours over the weekend on my PS4. Lots of graphical glitches and texture popping, but I had a good time overall. Seems like they figured out the Delta-03 disconnection errors by Sunday. I'd say if you didn't like D1 you won't like this. Small improvements to game play but the core is still the same. I loved D1 and I'm very much looking forward to diving in headfirst to the full release of D2.

i dunno, i'd say worst case scenario it's Division 1 redux. TTK alone really improved "the slog" but i don't know how that'll be calibrated in the final game (pessimistically guessing it won't be as breezy)

not particularly enamoured with what i played but i'd hard to pressed to say the experience was worse than D1 or any kind of downgrade

As beta is over i played yesterday 1st game on ps4 pro from start and i missed those cool things i found in 2 game beta now. I wanna menu looks as 2 and those guns sounds. Omg that first gun in 1 game sounds now so noisy and unpleasant compared to 2 beta sounds. More darker at times more foggy i like that better . didint noticed movement slower or anything. But if it did change i liked it.

No definitive word, but probably won't need to re-download.

For people who had the alpha installed, that Ubisoft Game folder got update to the private beta.

Dont know Division 2 just feels so boring and lifeless to me.

I get this sentiment from the beta as well. I play D1 daily with my boys and the environment is ‘alive’ with people scavenging for food and fighting amongst each other. Camps of people using abandoned rail cars and lots for shelter. The game is just teeming with life and death.

Maybe it’s in the retail version we get that alive feeling but right now as it stands it feels like ‘I am legend’ with just factions in sections.

Nevertheless the gameplay is good and massive would have to really be on their toes and step up their game with constant content dropping more frequently than it did in D1!

I have the collectors edition pre ordered day 1!

Progress does reset. But the cap is increased to 8, a mission is added and we now have access to the chem launcher.

I think the open beta rewards may be the same as the private beta rewards.

Cool, I think the extra specialisations are unlocked with the gold/ultimate editions from launch as well instead of waiting for Season 1 content drops?

I think specializations 4-6 are tied to episode 1-3. Y1 pass holders get them right away when those episodes drop.

Non-pass have to do something. Maybe spend DivTech? They haven't said yet but did say it's in-game.

As for specializations 1-3, I think we all access them the same way.

I was going to play on the PC but most of my friends will be playing on Xbox. Only gripe is I only have a One S. Am I wasting my time playing it on Xbox without a One x?

I mean I don’t think you’re wasting your time based just on graphic fidelity. How important are graphics/performance to you?

Depends how sensitive you to lower resolution shadows and such, im not so for me its fine, still it looks good on x1, watch first game comparison video between consoles

This game runs so damn well on my Vega @ 1440p on ultra (DX12). I only get a few frame drops with volumetric fog on ultra so I lowered it to high. Can't tell a difference and it runs rock solid.
I am so hyped. After 30+ hours of Anthem the slower pace and fantastic atmosphere of the Division is really a nice and welcome change. I just hope I can upgrade my AMD reward key to the year 1 pass.

re-installed Division 1 on my PS4 yesterday, game has not aged too well in my opinion, but gameplay is still great. Looking forward to the Beta and that will ultimately decide on whether I will purchase.

The UI is still an issue, I think.

Bullet sponginess is handled a lot better in Division 2. But this varies from gamer to gamer.

If you just dislike RPGness in shooters, it may seems spongey, but I really like the approach to armor this time around.

Apparently they have toned down the "normal" enemies TTK, but there are still "Brutes" with yellow and Purple health bars, but this time they are physically more heavily armoured so makes it more believable when you are pumping 500 rounds in to them and they are still walking about. At the end of the day it is an RPG/Looter Shooter and I think if you were not fussed on the bullet spongy enemies the same issue may remain albeit changed slightly. I haven't played any of the previous betas so I am just going on what I have heard, going to fire it up shortly and see how it is.

Watched joes impressions and it seems as if they learned NOTHING from the first game, lol. UI still is a mess and enemies take like a bazillion bullets. Why didn't they improve the concept? Division 1 seemed like a games that was begging for a sequel that fixes all the issues.

EDIT: Who thought that this little twitching window that shows how much ammo you have left was a good idea? It annoys me to look at it, let alone play it where my digital life can depend on it. Why not place the current bullet count and the magazines left in the bottom right corner like every other shooting game in existence? I don't understand it. Does no one besides me find this unneccessary distracting?
