Yo, Barry's look as he turns away from shaking Wells' hand could murder a dude. ICE COLD.

I rewatched it again earlier and this part....WOW...Gustin emoted very damn well in that scene. You usually see him smiling and happy...but this face has so much to say in just that few seconds. #MurderFace

I really enjoyed that Flash vs RF scene at the beginning. It's realllyyy good.

Just wanted to pop in here (only recently got my account approved) to say how much I've been enjoying this show.

I followed everyone's advice here on neogaf while I was still a lurker and powered through the terribly cheesy first season of arrow to finally reach the "amazing" second season only to have it leave a slight bitter taste in my mouth. It's a fun show and truly did improve a great deal in the second season but it can't even hold a candle to Flash in my opinion.

I was craving some good comic tv and I went ahead and dived into Flash before really reaching the proper point, continuity wise, from Arrow and I can't begin to express how happy I am that I did. It's been a blast.

I love all the throw backs to the original series which I loved as a child and it has done a masterful job of combing the fun sensibility of comic book with the medium of tv.

I think the acting has been pretty spot on for the most part and it came at just the right time to be able to deliver the special effects needed for a show about the Flash on a budget. Thanks for all the great words about Flash (and to a degree Arrow lol) neogaf. I wouldn't even have considered watching otherwise

Seriously, Barry couldn't find a better option than running through a gas tank truck?! Haha.

I thought they were going to pay this off with him being dumb and the bomb exploding and also exploding the truck. A small lesson to not get too caught up in the adrenaline rush.

Guess anything will do. I'm assuming they went for the truck because it would look more impressive than a normal wall and if they wanted to make it a building it might've been too much extra work to make it look cool. Probably should've chosen a normal semi though.

Welcome to the New A...

Wait, I mean ugh Welcome to the...Speed Force?

Doesn't that
contradict the whole "merge with your past self when you go to the past" that we saw in Out of Time?

he just needs to run faster through time than the speed it takes
for the two flashes travling through time to merge
It's like a speedforce integral

I don't know

This show man, this fucking show just keeps getting better and better. I hope they haven't set the bar too high and season 2 can be at least hold a candle to this season. Im like a kid in a lego store after every episode

My only worry about S2 is the villain. If Reverse Flash is the big bad for this year, I'm guessing the Rogues would be the main antagonists of S2 -- and the Rogues are fucking lame. Never liked them in the comics and they're too over the top to take seriously here either.

Reverse Flash, you believe he can and will fuck Barry up. But whenever the Rogues show up here, it feels like the script is bending over backwards to make them a threat.

I'm willing to bet the Reverse Flash sticks around.

Grodd will probably be the big bad for Season 2.

Yeah Rogues are garbage.

Always funny to me when the show pretends that Flash can't dispose these guys in less than 5 seconds

Yep, my most hated episodes are the rogues ones because we go from the Flash saving people from lightning strikes, catching moving bullets, and fighting the reverse flash at super speed to being completely useless and unable to disable a snarky ass motherfucker with a slow ass gun (who continually loses his gun mind you but somehow manages to get it back three different times already).

Just can't take the Rogues threat seriously when compared to RF, Grodd, or even the Weather Wizard.

I like the Rogues in this show.

The fact is they really aren't making them as powerful as they potentially are in the comics. In the comics, Cold can make mirages and generate "cold fields" of air to slow speedsters and block projectiles. Captain Cold should learn to make cold fields around himself. This would render the Flash to move at normal speed and would be a good justification as to why he can't simply go for his gun. I'm glad they've keptt the strategic planner side of him though.

That was an amazing episode, mainly with the real Reverse Flash.
The Star Wars line was telegraphed and they missed an amazing opportunity for Wells to say 'Use the Force'

I kind of wonder if RF didn't think the whole
killing Barry as a child
thing through. I mean, if he did that than wouldn't that possibly lead to him either not existing at all or perhaps not being anything like how he is?

It'd be funny if it was pointed out to him and he never realized, though he might also not care.

That would have been too much. Mark Hamil saying the other line was perfect because he actually have a connection to Star Wars.

Tom Cavanagh however doesn't. The whole episode wasn't suppose to be full of Star Wars reference. I think most people missed the fact that the episode was full of references from the 1990 Flash show.

I was perfectly happy with Wells "a part of the speed force" line.

It'll be Grodd.

Let's not neglect Hamill's comparison of a day without casualties with the Cubs winning the World Series, a probable Back to the Future reference.

You should give Agents of shield season 2 a watch if you haven't already. That and The Flash are killing it this season for me.

How many more Eli Stone cast members can they get to show up?

Tom Cavanagh, Victor Garber, and now Matt Letscher.

Man I miss Eli Stone.

Eli Stone was created by Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, Berlanti was also one of the people who created The Flash. Andrew Kreisberg was a producer on Eli Stone and one of the creators of The Flash, and Matt Letscher said in one interview it was Kreisberg who got him the role of Eobard. So it wouldn't surprise me if we see more of the people from Eli Stone on this.

Rewatching flashpoint, and i guess that scene means that
barry goes back in time to stop himself from saving his mom

Did they ever explain what happened to the Barry (tidal wave, kisses Iris) he sees the first time time traveling? Does he just fade away/Merge with Barry or do you think the two of them exist in the world we are seeing right now (Cisco and Captain alive). I think it's the latter but then again Cisco would have noticed two blips on his radar claiming they are both Barry Allen, not to mention the original Barry would also have heard Cisco spazzing (confused) out when he was comminicating with Time Travel Barry. Imo it just wouldn't make sense for them to merge, two of them should exist. He went to a time while he existed, he shouldn't just disappear, it's stupid. With this theory he could never go back and warn himself. But if original Barry heard other Barry on his ear piece he might have freaked out and went into hiding until he figures everything out. Which might be a reason he's fighting himself. It would suck too, what would happen to the extra Barry?

If they did explain or show it, I missed it.

Loving this show but I wish there was more filler. Why don't we see Barry chowing down on 500 cheese burgers every time he exerts energy (like in the comics) to keep his metabolism going and himself alive. Guy burns through calories like a wild fire.

With a forensic scientists salary, he would have to resort to stealing to support his food intake. This is a guy who can't get drunk unless Caitlen and Cisco make something that could knock out a whale, and even that lasts a few mere seconds

I have a question regarding the promo for the next ep.

Around the 51 second mark we see a blonde woman turn around in a chair, at first I thought it was Laurel, but she doesn't look the same, and I don't think it's Sara(time travel shenanigans or not), have we seen this woman before?

I think that's
Emily Kinney's character (Beth from Walking Dead)

Mark Hamill worked really well within this show's cheesy confines. He was a highly entertaining addition. I want him to team up with the gorilla in a future episode.

Loved when he called out barry applying the antidote to everybody as not being sanitary

Trickster was too good, hoping he comes back in season 2
