So I'm reading up on Reverse Flash.

This dude's a total nutter. I mean, I read Flashpoint, so I know that, but still. What's his fucking deal?

Also, the Rogues actually got pissed at him for killing one of the Hero Speedsters?

Hunter or Thawne? Hunter's Cray Cray is actually interesting.

Rogues have rules. No women or children and above all else don't down bring down a Flash on you if you can help it.

So they're more like gentlemen thieves than actual dastardly evil villains?

Pretty much, but as far supervillains go they are pretty honorable. They are in that Taskmaster category of "This is a fat check, not a life" villainy. Mirror Master can bee a little shakey, but what can you expect from a cokehead?

There are a hundred ways to use a mirror....
that issue was really hilarious

New 52 Heatwave is also a little too "bout dat life," but the others keep him reigned in.

Reading the OP and the first page has just made me want to watch The Arrow. I think I'll start it tonight. Crazy how just a few seconds of reading something can change many hours of your life. So two seasons of The Arrow first? I think I could get that done in a week, assuming I like it. Nice OT, btw. Subbed!

My god, your body isn't ready for Arrow. You must prepare!

- Collider: Producer Marc Guggenheim Talks ARROW Season 3, the H.I.V.E. Storyline, New Villains, THE FLASH Crossover, and More
What can you say about the cross-over with Arrow and The Flash?

GUGGENHEIM: It’s so freakin’ awesome! It really is. I’ve never had so much fun writing a script before, maybe in my life. It was such a blast to work on. We’re filming the Arrow episode right now, and it’s just so much fun. I keep telling everyone that we should try for Avengers. It’s these two heroes together with a big production value. We’re blowing out the doors on this. There’s the opportunity for inside jokes, and seeing all of the characters together. What happens when Cisco gets his eyes on Thea? There are moments like that, that you just can’t do in a normal episode. It’s just so much fun. It’s really going to be a blast. Jesse Warren is directing it, and he is just crushing it. Those dailies are really, really insane. Nick Tarabay plays Boomerang/Digger Harkness, and he’s amazing. And that weapon is a whole new visual language in the show, and a whole new visual language for our stunt guys to work with. And watching Grant [Gustin] and Stephen [Amell] together is just magic.

I wonder if the Rogues are going to have full costumes. Arrow's kept suits limited to just vigilantes and a few select villains, but Flash's tone would lend itself more to suits, I think.

Yeah. I love what Arrow did with it's costumes, especially in S2 (dat Nyssa...mmmm), grounding them and making them feel functional. But Flash needs crazier aproach and it would be another nice touch distinguishing both shows.

I just like that it sounds like they're actually going to let the Rogues stick around and develop as characters, instead of killing them off the first chance they get like Arrow has a tendency to do.

Arrows seems to be learning it;s lesson fortuntelly though.

Arrow finally started to let his adversaries live in S2.... and then he killed off Count Vertigo.

And such a shame, I really liked Seth Gabel in that role. He had fun.

Far as I can recall, only person Flash ever killed in the comics was
Professor Zoom. Which led to a LOOOONG story arc.

So I'm guessing THAT'LL be his big angst moment for the series.

I'm also guessing they're going to give Barry Wally's relationship with The Rogues, where they actually get on and it's only the criminal stuff that provides tension.

No loss, though. They got a superior Count Vertigo this time around.

I'm hoping for Seth Gabel to come back one more time while Ollie is on a nightmarish trip and be his subconscious dream guide.

For all its storytelling faults, the Flash pilot is never generic, and it makes plenty of strong choices—just a few too many of them. Crucially, if this pilot demonstrates anything, it’s that The Flash is going to be fun, and that’s just the kind of promise to make to audiences while the show still works out the nuts and bolts of its narrative formula.

13 at the moment. If CW likes the ratings of the first couple eps and whatnot they'll order a back 9 episodes, making it 22.
What? That sounds more like it would be detrimental to a show. Wouldn't the writers already have their plot/show planned for 13 episodes? Suddenly, they'd have to tack on another 9 episodes?

Or am I misunderstanding your comment?

That's usually how they plan shows.

As for Flash, I'd guess they have a 13 episode arc and a rough 22 episode one. So the first 13 episodes is one story, next 9 is that story amped up. I mean most shows have a winter finale as is, ya know? And if Flash gets cancelled, they can always bung him over to Arrow.
