I also really want a wet signapore race, although with flood lights & spray, I fear the race could be cancelled.

Unless some aspect of McLaren's new design requires the bulkheads to be as high as possible, I expect their new nose to look not all that dissimilar to last year's, given it was only just outside of the new regulatory limits (based on a comparison image I saw somewhere a week or so ago).

So now the area ahead of the front bulkhead must be lower than 55cm. However the monocoque behind this area can remain as high as 62.5cm. Thus in order to strive to retain the aero gains teams will keep a high chassis and then have the nose cone flattened up against this 55cm maximum height.

That would explain the ugly nose and we'll probably see it across all cars. Well, Edmond, it looks like there will be an ugly Ferrari after all.

Makes sense to me. The options are the colored ones. Black would be the only other logical choice, and that's not going to work too well as advertisement.

I think Scarbs initially speculated that we'd see upturned noses like a pig. While ugly as sin, it's not nearly as bad as it could have been. If the Montoya Williams was a walrus, than this is a saw shark. EDIT: or a caiman or whatever that is, M777.

They did say the new Ferrari was ugly so I am guessing it has something similar. On the bright side, if all the cars look like this i will not feel so bad about missing the Sky F1 channel.

I broke down late last year and bought a red Senna golf shirt and two Red Bull shirts. One Red Bull Racing shirt had the red bull logo on the front in silver reflective material and is sort of stretchy. The other shirt is their gold foil-ish constructor's shirt. I think I paid $45usd each for the shirts and maybe $50usd for the polo.

Looks like Rubens is going to sample IndyCar since there's no F1 seat for him.

Associated Press: Rubens Barriechello to test at Sebring with KV Racing

Rubens Barrichello will test an IndyCar next week for KV Racing, The Associated Press has learned.

The Formula One driver is scheduled to be at Sebring International Raceway next Monday and Tuesday, a person familiar with the test told AP on condition of anonymity Wednesday because the 2-day test session is exploratory for both Barrichello and the race team.

Barrichello has spent the last 19 seasons in Formula One, but was replaced last week at Williams by Bruno Senna. He has no seat lined up in F1 for the 2012 season.

“I won’t be driving the Williams car this year,” he posted last week on his Twitter page. “I wish my friend (Senna) all the best. The future is wide open.”

A few days later, he responded to well-wishers again via Twitter, indicating he planned to race a bit longer.

“when I said that things were open is because I still have lot’s of speed on me,” he posted. “just like an old friend said: racing is in my blood.”

He’s been quoted in the past as saying his wife would not let him race in the IndyCar Series, and it’s not clear if Barrichello was serious. He’s close friends with fellow Brazilian Tony Kanaan, who drove last season for KV and is scheduled to return to the team in 2012

KV Racing fielded three entries last season, for Kanaan, Takumo Sato and EJ Viso. Kanaan finished a team-best fifth in the final IndyCar standings.

Next week’s test could be a test to see if Barrichello has any interest in possibly racing in IndyCar in 2012, or if he can offer any technical assistance to KV, which has partnered with Chevrolet this season.
