Hamilton is nothing like Schumacher in that respect either. He's a fair weather fan towards his own team. When he's winning, it's "yay team!" but his attitude and communication is lacking during down times. A recent example his "I can't go any slower" "I can't go any faster" comments. There are certainly much more "PR" means of delivering that information.

Should have made this clearer. Ferrari have got Alonso in and think they can shape and build a winning team around him. I don't think this will happen, so Alonso will leave or will be booted out. What happens after that requires Ferrari to sort themselves out, if Lewis is available they will more than likely try to sign him.

Two Aussies on one F1 grid - never thought I would see the day.

Go Webber! Go Ricciardo!
Awesome, innit? It's going to be a very interesting race for us Aussie fans to watch... the changes to the RBR car *and* someone we're familiar with in a POS car. Hopefully he'll wring every ounce of performance out of it and not finish on the bottom.

What's the thinking behind this pit lane? With the space being there wouldn't it be better to just make it wider for more safety? I think those curbs could have an ugly effect in case of an accident.

Yeah very odd, most pits have a main lane and an accel/decel one, but here they've a main lane and a tea-lawn.

Those pits don't look wide enough for two cars. We might see someone get punted onto those high curbs on the outside if teams try some late release shenanigans.

Anyone know when Racing Underground is going to come back? I need my BBCHD coverage fix. :/

I'll bring the hamper.

Mmmm tea, going to run and make a pot of darjeeling for the rest of the workday.

We need a better picture of that pit lane. It certainly looks interesting.

OK this is a veerrry long shot but are any UK Gaffers interested in buying two race day general admission tickets for Silverstone?

My other half bought them for my birthday, due to various circumstances we can't go :(

List price £140 each, will let them go for £80 each. All tickets are now sold out, if anyone's interested in taking them off me, drop me a PM.

Can't believe I'm not going FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

I may have missed it being mentioned; but the DRS detection for Silverstone is 25m before T3 and activation is 45m after T4 - so right up Wellington Straight. Not where I thought they would place it at all.

Full length view, raised pit box for the top teams which tapers down to grass tea area for the bottom teams.

Bummer I know, I'm gutted I'm not going. Got a family member ill so I've got to go to Scotland for the weekend :(

If anyone else is interested, please let me know. I'm in the West Midlands so would be willing to travel halfway to handover tickets.

I'm going to be honest, I'm going to find it really weird seeing the cars take Copse this weekend knowing that they're entering Intermediate 2 and not Turn 1. It'll take a bit of getting used to.

The whole thing will take a bit of getting used to. It's one of the more comprehensive track overhauls in quite a while.

I've put £2 on Hamilton to win the race and £1 to be fastest qualifier.

BIG SPENDER. I really have no idea how this race will play out though so I thought I'd play it safe. I was thinkin Red Bull might struggle with the changes but with recent articles saying otherwise I'm not so sure.

Hope you're right about Hamilton winning as the championship battle's over, if there isn't a fightback in the upcoming races.

I still have a tenner riding on Button to win the championship, so part of me still believes he can do it.

... :(
lulz

Not enough rain races in a year, and the mp4-26 isn't exactly brawn dominant.

BAHAHAHA.

I'm actually guessing it's something historic. No idea what, but surely there's some history behind it.

Oh my GOD I'm hoping Ricciardo does well. If he can place in the top 20 I'd be happy.

OMFG HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH
Well guys, I know this thread is about Formula One, but I must go on the record and say, that this Formula 3 battle between Vettel and Hamilton, is one of the best battles I've seen in a race ANYWHERE!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkLZBxHWRXA

Man, what I wouldn't give for a battle of this magnitude in F1!

Can anyone tell me who won that race? The video ends too early :(

We were just given free money in f1racemanager this week as there was no bonsu question. It says its "holiday time"

So i upgraded my Ferrari to a McLaren for this race hoping the british drivers will do well.

I fully expect a Ferrari 1/2 :(

Yeah, just saw that. Sticking with a McL/Ferrari split, can't afford much better than that. Rubbish drivers too.

Can anyone tell me who won that race?

Code:
1.	Lewis Hamilton	ASM Formule 3	31:10.310
2.	Giedo van der Garde	Team Rosberg	+8.410
3.	Sebastian Vettel	Mücke Motorsport	+16.442
4.	Adrian Sutil	ASM Formule 3	+17.990
5.	Franck Perera	Prema Powerteam	+24.091

Wet track.

I hope this race isn't a total wash out this weekend.
