It is very hard to do any productive testing in this conditions. Even fast lap can only be achieved on drying track, like Webber and Alonso did before this last shower.

how come the bbc are running itv commentary with these classic f1 highlights?

Watching these again it's so easy to forget how awesome Lewis can be when he's not being stroppy

Looked last few pages, didn't see anything - what do you race out of curiosity?

Fuck this..
Not ideal for the teams to find out how the cars are affected by the off-throttle ban.

Mark and Horner's body language look really interesting they both look uncomfortable in each other's presence, Horner's smile couldn't have looked more forced

It was a 2 hours kart endurance race I did with some friends.

It's on the outdoor circuit in Genk which is a circuit used for the karting World Championship and it has a FIA license. Schumacher drove some laps there when he came out of retirement.

20 Minutes of qualifying and then 2 hours of racing with 3 driver changes and one pitstop. It is possible to race alone, instead of with 4 people.

I only had 10 minutes to learn and place a good lap for qualifying and I managed to qualify 21th of 38 runners. We finished in 28th position after a botched driver change and 1 pitstop too much, but it's still a great result.

It really was an awesome experience, had some great fights with some other people. It really puts F1 racing even more in perspective.

How much did it cost to do that, Dilly?

I went to an indoor one recently, i want to do more on an outdoor circuit but they are all too damn expensive.

Well, it was €200 so that comes down to €50 per person. Considering I had 10 minutes of qualifying and I did a stint of 30 minutes, I'd say it's pretty good value.

And after that, I got to watch a fun race. There was a nice atmosphere and there were quite a lot of people watching.

Normally it is about £30 for a 30 minute 'arrive and drive' session.

But the indoor circuit i went to offered unlimited karting time for £30 on a Monday which i think was great value but now i want to go to an outdoor circuit...

And i can't get my friends to come again because they didn't enjoy it as much as i did. It did hurt quite a bit after about 3 hours of karting.

Yeah, I'm lucky that these guys wanted to join me.

I have quite some indoor karting experience, but outdoor karting really feels like the 'grown up' version of indoorkarting.

It's faster, it feels more authentic, laps are longer, corners with understeer you have to take into account, using the curbs,.. I even had to warm up my tyres and get rid of the pieces of rubber that my tyres picked up when going to the starting grid.

Blasphemy!

I too love the new cable camera - really nice seeing something a tad different to the normal trackside views.
