You're right. I've been looking for the new layout but the FIA website is slower than molasses on a cold day. And it's annoying to navigate.

EDIT: Nevermind, got it.

Fear not, I went ahead and fixed it for you!

I don't think you can expect too much from him in his first race or two. He's used to driving the Red Bull and STR cars, going to HRT has to be a pretty huge shock and takes some time to get used to.
Yeah, I was just thinking that. The more I ponder it, I think just to make it within 107% in his first weekend is achievement enough... especially in that POS HRT.

Quite looking forward to tomorrow's race, if only because there's a chance we'll see a three way battle for the win.
Webber had better put up a fight at the starting line. I'm pretty sure that because Vettel is doing so well RBR wouldn't mind a Button/Hammy-esque rivalry during the race.

He does random bits of commentary around the world; Aussie supercars for example. He‘s very spritely for someone of his age. Great man.

He's amazing at the Adelaide Clipsal 500, he's just so enthusiastic about the race!

And 'Murray Walker's Extreme Machines' are always a great addition to the event.

Basically, Adelaide > Melbourne.

Webber bored by Formula One technical row
"It is incredibly boring also for the fans. They cannot understand 0.1 per cent of what's going on. Even for us it is sometimes difficult.

"So let's get on with the racing. Keep the rules as simple as possible from the start of the year maybe and go from there."
Yeah, I completely agree with him... if someone who follows the tech stuff only to a limited degree like myself is confused, what hope do majority of the fans and the casual motorsport watchers have?

Nice one, thanks. Is it just me or does it seem there is a lack of seating on the start straight and the arena section?

Yeah thats an older pic, basically there is seating all along the start/finish straight opposite the new pit complex now.

BBC weather:
This can all change in matter of minutes. After noon, showers will start developing around the racetrack. Some people say that they can appear at any time, so that rain radar cannot spot them in time.

My wish - heavy shower in 3rd lap.

A bit off topic, but I was just reading through last year's thread (by god, there's so much information!) and well...it seems like a complete reversal of this season. Everyone exited for the championship, but lambasting the entertainment factor of the races.

Also, this thread will probably surpass last year's thread today.

Is this down to more interest this season or are there more members posting?

More people are posting this year.

Also, regarding EBD, they should bring it back to Valencia spec and make clear cut for 2012 - ban.

Yeah, of all the crazy British weather, there seems to be some sort of extra instability vortex around that track.

If it rains heavily a lot of standing water can collect on some of the older sections of track, i.e. the old start/finish straight.
Maybe not so much of a problem for F1 but it was a major problem for the motogp bikes recently. At one point during the race Ben Spies had Colin Edwards just behind him and he turned round and gestured as if to say "wtf are we doing out here?"

Weather was really bad on raceday :(

Racing in wet weather is a challenge, but if it's possible to drive a car round a track, then it's possible to drive it round faster than the sucker next to you. I think a lot of racers forget what the core of racing is all about, especially given these mile wide runoff areas where injury is less likely.

New development in EBD situation - Williams was for the change, only Ferrari powered teams were against.
AUTOSPORT's sources have revealed that Ferrari and the Ferrari-powered Sauber team refused to sign the deal to return to the Valencia specification.

There had been speculation that Cosworth engine user Williams would do likewise, but it is understood to have been in favour of this solution.

Also, light rain in Silverstone

Hope I can find a good stream for BBC. I don't want to watch the 2 hr Fox coverage we get in the US for this race or wait until noon to watch the damn race.

Stupid delay. :(

You've got me posting this year :)

Spent all of last year lurking the 2010 thread whilst I was waiting to be activated :(

I'm excited to be able to finally follow the Grands Prix with F1GAF after months of lurking! I would have been here for the qualifying yesterday, but live coverage here was preempted by a combination of rugby union, rugby league and, er, netball.

Hoping for a Ferrari win.

It will be exciting to see if Vettel manages to get the fastest lap on Top Gear. And man, the BBC coverage is godly, can't even imagine watching it with Norwegian commentators.

Yeah, it is the finest coverage of any sport in the world I think.
