edit, he has a little bit of an English accent as well...
Yeah, that was weird... I was picking up on Seth Eflickan too, bru. Perhaps it's that thing where you slowly mimic the accent of the person you're speaking to? I do that sometimesCarton said:Yeah, his accent is quite muddled here; it sounds mostly Aussie + a splash of something English & South African. I've never heard him speak like this before.
Lewis Hamilton insists Red Bull's controversial front wing flexes more than the rules allow.
The Milton Keynes team's wing caused a major storm at last year's German Grand Prix and the FIA was forced introduced heavier flex tests. Red Bull's cars passed the deflection tests and they've had no problems since then.
However, Hamilton has brought the issue back into the spotlight after Sebastian Vettel put in a dominant display at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
"Did you see Vettel's front wing?" he is quoted by Bild "It bends down to the ground and gives him about half a second. Either we [FIA] close this loophole or we [McLaren] copy it."
According to German paper, McLaren are considering lodging a protest with motor sport's governing body over the issue.
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko hit back at accusations that their front wing is illegal, saying the whole saga is becoming "boring".
"They try it again and again.. And we pass each test."

All wings flex under load. The really fascinating thing is watching the tires expand.Ark said:
Look at the flex on McLaren!! Makes me so happy after last year.
They won't be better until they curve that stupid Pirelli logo.Goldrusher said:

The McLaren and Mercedes front wings seem to flex differently compared to the RBR wing. On the Red Bull, it looks like the ends flex further down compared to the nose while the other two look like the entire nose and wing flexes as one assembly.

they are both easily within 107% of vettels fastest race lap,
D'Amb is easily within the 107% of the overal fastest race lap, Glock slightly over it
thou comparing race laps is kinda pointless with different strategies and all

Also, Mclaren used rear diffusor made from titanium in Australia.

Does anyone know how much torque a modern F1-engine has?
I think Timo is right to be concerned about Virgin's performance.navanman said:On the times above, Timo Glock doesn't think Virgin or HRT will be within the 107% rule after qualifying in Malaysia.

Pretty much this. If true, Virgin or (heaven forbid) HRT should nab him.S. L. said:sounds unlikely, if true there has to be more to it than just that wing disaster
I hope so.soujiro_seta said:Massa to follow suit.... BELIEVE!!! Hahaha!!
navanman said:Rumours going around on Twitter that James Key has been sacked over the Melbourne wing-gate controversy for Sauber.
If its true its THE worst thing Sauber could do, he is responsible for turning them around.
Before he joined, Sauber didn't last 10 laps in a race without blowing up a Ferrari engine. By the end of the season they were scoring regularly.
This year they have shown really solid pace; the best of the midfield teams.
With Force India, he had them as the best midfield team who regularly challenged the top teams at certain tracks.
McLaren should jump in for him.

Speaking of Nascar, how's Montoya doing? He's kind of a douche, but the fights with Schumacher were fun to watch.
The error on the Sauber team's part raised some questions about whether heads will roll as those lost ten points could cost the midfield team millions.
However, team owner Peter Sauber says that won't happen even though he's still feeling the pain of those lost points.
Yeah, I though his longer stint was on primes, makes it even more awesome.Leunam said:Wow, Perez with 35 laps on options.
