So let me get this right. Half the races BBC show in full will be the usual standard stuff and the other half on SKY will have a different presentation team but the race commentary will be the same (brundle, DC). That doesn't sound too bad

Crucially, we don't know anything about this yet. However I fully expect their coverage of the races they do have live to be scaled back.

EDIT: Actually, this has just crossed my mind:

We've seen it reported (i forget where) that the BBC highlights package will follow 'a few hours' after the race. We've also seen it claimed, on the last page, that they'll be in a 5 or 6pm slot on a Sunday (obviously not possible for Brazil, Canada etc). So what about the highlights for the early morning races (European time) like Australia and Malaysia? Will they show the package twice, or will you have to wait all flipping day, while avoiding any source of news?

Worth considering, given that those are the races the BBC are unlikely to covering live.

Will the BBC be allowed to continue streaming sessions live online? Because if we can watch races live online through the BBC, I actually wouldn't care so much about the whole Sky thing.

No BBC will only be able to stream live practice/qualifying/races for 10 races next year

Maybe, but Sky will show all the races

Another one: They're sharing a commentary team, so that will mean there can be little-to-no interaction between the presenting team and the commentating team, as when the BBC are showing a race live, so are Sky.

The BBC would really be better off using the 5Live commentators for both radio and TV - and as they aren't, I'm starting to suspect that the radio commentators will be commentating from the UK next year.

Red Bull not as dominant as last year but still expect them to get pole. Hopefully its Webber instead of Vettel. As long as the top four consist of Webber,Alonso and Hamilton then I don't mind who gets pole.

Anyone think that Vettel will be slightly shaken after the last race? Does that even ever happen in F1? Perhaps it will with someone so (relatively) inexperienced...

The previous race always sits with a driver. Hamilton had a very conservative race in Valencia following his Monaco drive.

We'll see how Vettel reacts.
It's really the first time he's been in this situation. No doubt all eyes will be on him during quali and perhaps the race.

I think a lot of people are expecting to see more cracks in Vettel, so this weekend he'll be on fire and just shut everybody up.

Of course, part of me hopes that isn't the caase for a few interesting races!

I stuck a few beans on hamilton and button to top 3 this weekend, not bet for a while now but this sky f1 shit is annoying me, had to take my mind off it a little.

Still better on TV though. Nice for people who don't have BBC HD from Sky or Virgin.

Oh yeah definitely, I'd both on and you could see a clear difference in the HD on TV and on iPlayer as the bitrate isn't as good, but for web steaming it is impressive.

Its not better than the BBC HD on TV but its better than SD TV which I have.

Excellent news about Kobayashi's contract extension!
He defenitly adds flavour to this game!

(Always said he and Mark Webber should have been in teamed up at Toyota.... ;-( )
