Hmm, Alonso doing a 1:20.272, Button a 1:20.578, Webber 1:20.890, Vettel 1:21.095 and Massa 1:21.099

Then, on the Prime tyres is Hamilton on a 1:21.105? Interesting!

Surprising Red Bull are so far off the pace.
What a change from last year.

Its like this season is turning into carbon copy of 09 where Brawn destroyed all other in the first half and then got caught and struggled over the line to win both championships.

Alonso for pole and Lewis second assuming he makes it through to Q3 with his risky strategy.

I doubt he will get knocked out with his time on the primes. So looking good for Hamilton. I'm still convinced RedBull haven't shown thier hand just yet.

Yeah, that lap time from Seb was too slow. I think 1:19.9 or thereabouts will get pole.

Martin Brundle just did his usual 'hello' to all the other countries that take the BBC feed. How will they be affected by the Sky deal?

Will we have an odd situation where Canada, Australia etc get the live races with BBC commentary, but those in the UK can't? And perhaps the BBC will still need to commentate the live races for the highlights packages.

Maldonado not setting a lap then?
A sign of problems or just saving tyres as Barrichello burned a set of super softs to get all the way to 15th?

Well, Perez has to be the star of Q2, getting into 10th in the Sauber.

The BBC and Sky will share the commentary team.

It would be shocking to see anything other than a red bull on pole on such an aero-dependent track. Today though it looks as though that might actually happen.

1:19.978 for Lewis. Damn.

Looking at the lap he can still go faster.
Well, this should be interesting. Will the teams burn a 2nd set of tyres or accept their fate? I can't imagine they will and Vettel and Webber especially will want to improve their times.

From what they've said about Vettel going back to previous parts, you could make the case that it's more that Red Bull have gone backwards.
