Is Piranha a torrent site? Are they in HD? I downloaded China in 720p and I don't think I could watch a race in standard def.

I'm guessing that this one is worth getting too?

1080 is the way to go.

No 1080 on Usenet :(
TheBox has a 1080 version go up the same night usually.

Also, Jake and Brundle are saying on Twitter that the F1 race peaked with 6m viewers yesterday and was most watched tv show that day.

Good luck, Sky!

Good luk, Sky!

See, with viewing figures like that I don't understand how the BBC cannot justify the £40 million cost of F1 - but hey, what do I know.

From wiki, the BBC got this coming in in 2009/2010:

£3,446.8 million in licence fees collected from householders;
£888.3 million from BBC Commercial Businesses;
£293 million from government grants;
£112.9 million from other income, such as providing content to overseas broadcasters and concert ticket sales;

This just makes me angry considering how hard these guys worked from 2009 onwards to make the coverage as good as it is and now the BBC are just throwing it away.

They'd *have* to be covering their fee from overseas sales on F1 alone.

I would go dig up the BBC's business docs, but I'm a bit busy.

I've no doubt all that income is going to production costs & keeping the TV & Radio stations are up.

Just realised that Vettel could finish third in the remaining races and still win the championship even if Webber won every race.

Unless the Red Bull car starts having reliability problems (0 DNFs so far...) only a meltdown from Vettel would leave him without a championship (it would still be nowhere near Hamilton's epic choke in 2007).

And Eric Bouiller should man up and fire Heidfeld if he don't want him. The way he spoke publicly about yesterday fire problem is not the way a team director should handle that situation. It felt like he's trying to make excuses to replace him with Grosjean when he clinches the GP2 championship. Funny that even with all the mistakes Heidfeld has more points than Petrov and his mafiya money.

Heidfeld was brought on because the team needed someone who has experience and could possibly help with the development of the car through the season. It looks like he's utterly failed on the development part.

I doubt it's his fault on the development, they don't seem to have the cash

Is it just me that wants to punch his face every time I see it? Eric, I mean.

Heidfeld is just sex on legs, of course.

Renault are roughly at the level they've been for several seasons now. They even had a couple podiums earlier in the year, which is a pretty good result. Now that Ferrari and McLaren have gotten their shit together Renault have settled back down to where they should be.

I think that there is more to their financial problems than we know. If you do not have enough money to cover even more basic stuff, how will you develop new parts for the car? Bad results do not please sponsors.

And they are slowly drifting towards Toro Rosso, Sauber and Force India. Mercedes is ahead of them. But I think that both teams, Mercedes and Renault, will soon move 75% of resources to 2012 car..

Haug from Mercedes said yesterday, that they will only develop this car till Singapore.

Renault had a loss of $40m last season and it doesn't look like this year is going to be better.

They've got a big update coming for Spa, so there is still some development taking place, but it's going to be too late. These are the kinds of updates that they probably should have brought a couple of races ago. It's a shame they couldn't come up with these sooner but I guess the cash situation was pretty bad (I had completely forgotten about it).

Sponsors isn't the problem, the problem is with the firm that took over the team.

Those from 'Button' are killing me :D

Some of it is really funny :D

hammy Lewis Hamilton
Martin's just really proud of the new me Nando, I'm gonna be all mature and responsible from now on, I've turned over a new leaf.

fernando Fernando Alonso
You almost turned over a new Force India yesterday.

...

fernando Fernando Alonso
Way to take responsibility Hamilton, pretending not to know what you did. Is it because you was bl....ocking the track for di Resta?

hammy Lewis Hamilton
It's not gonna frickin' work Nando, I'm mature now, you're not gonna make me say anything stupid. I apologised to Paul, I had no idea he was coming, I just didn't see him.

fernando Fernando Alonso
You know I think I actually believe you Hamilton, I'm pretty sure you didn't see him before spinning your car onto the racing line - mainly because you didn't bother looking.

I'll fess up. I am the 17 down 13 up at the top. Started to download Senna before leaving for my parents house and didnt realize it was 7 gigs and nobody has requested it.

I am getting the 720p BBCOne Hungary GP broadcast today in hopes that it will be popular and I can get on the high side of things.

Your ratio isn't even that bad. That assclown on the bottom ruins everything. D:

Guess who is going to Spa this year, and is invited in to the apartment of his brothers friend in Monaco, with an excellent view on the first corner.

I just hope its not to hot at Spa, its ramadan so i dont want to get thirsty =(

I'm not either, but it seems to me that you would want to upload more than you download and not the other way around.

Is this something we can even discuss on here? What's the rule on downloading F1 broadcasts?

They moved up Silverstone up a week, is it likely to change again? I know the teams still want to move some dates around.

Which Grandstand do I want to sit in?

I don't understand how the person with a ratio of 1 has stuffed it up for everyone. It is impossible for everyone on a torrent network to have a ratio over 1.

That site is awesome. Did I miss something in Hamilton almost hitting Di Resta?

I really need to watch the race. Will have to settle for 720p via usenet.

That site is great. This basically sums up Eddie and Jake

Eddie Jordan
I must take issue with Martin's comments about Scottish. I'll stick to the point here briefly if I may. My fellow Celts also speak Scot's Gaelic, similar in many ways to the Irish Gaelic. I'll keep going here in English, or I might confuse people. Anyway, to finish my point about Red Bull, I think they may have components on their car that are better than the other teams, so all credit to them.

Jake Humphrey
I think you strayed off point there Eddie. Although you have raised an interesting point. Would the viewers like to hear Lee McKenzie speak in another language, maybe French? Send me your tweets guys (in English).

Just finished watching. Fun race throughout, that Renault explosion was crazy. Did I hear right a 3 week break now? What the hell am I going to do?!

You heard right sadly. :(

The wait will be unbearable.

So glad that I have a friend who doesn't watch F1 live and still has to get into the sport. Next week we'll grab few beers and then watch the race. It will be a roller coaster ride for him, since he's a fan of Hamilton. :D

Read The F1 Slate :D

Ambrosia Jerome d'Ambrosio
That's really cool, maybe I will get asked to drive a historic Virgin car at a GP some day.

fernando Fernando Alonso
Your tender years don't excuse even you thinking a one year old car is historic Ambrosia.

mschumi Michael Schumacher
The fans would probably be more excited to see a horse and cart go around the track than an old Virgin, the laptimes would be close enough.

Ambrosia Jerome d'Ambrosio
The term horsepower is one that always confused me. It seems a strange term to use for a modern F1 car.

fernando Fernando Alonso
It equates the power of the car to the number of horses a driver can break in over one hour Ambrosia. Head down to your local stud and give it a shot.

bestofbritish Jenson Button
If anyone wants to break in this local stud let me know. I like to get a bit between my teeth every now and then.
