Don't worry, I wont steal your front-wing ;)

There is no excuse for anyone to have not seen this before

It's quite sad that the final race (we'll count Brazil as the final race for 2009) for the last 3 years has been downright unbelievably incredible, but this year, the final races will be near on pointless unless McLaren pull 8 seconds out of their arse.

---

Also, a point that I haven't seen anyone talk about, but is it just me....or has the BBC F1 production been cut down by quite a bit this year? Thinking about it now, last year's pre and post race shows and the F1 Forum all seemed to be..'better' than this year so far. Obviously minus the almighty Legard.

Then again, it might have just been that there was far more to be interested in/talk about when there's five different people within arms reach of the title.
The only real difference I've noticed is with the forum. No more lounging about in motor homes and much more hands on with there approach.

What happened at 1:53?

Are you talking about both front wheels coming off the Toro Rosso?

Buemi lost both of his front wheels under braking during Friday practice at China last year. Scary moment really :l

Mark Webber, the 2012 World Champion, the man deserves it!

McLaren last won the WCC in 1998 and last won a WDC in 2008. Therefore, perfectly reasonable, rational, sensible and logical logic dictates that McLaren will claim both titles in the year of 2012.

Equally so, the year of Formula 1 in 2012 shall be the most magnificent year in the history of history. Eight drivers shall fiercely battle for victory after victory, the final race ending with two champions crossing the line at precisely the same time.

And then the world will end, and no one will remember.

I had to search when the world will supposedly end, it's 21st of December. The season would be finished by then. :p

Hamilton, Button, Vettel, Webber, Alonso and... Massa? I was thinking of 10 drivers. Adding Rosberg and Michael to the mix!

Yeah it's Bruno :p

I saw it when I went to F1 Fanatic earlier on.

The only thing differentiating these two pictures is age.

EDIT:

This, is far better than the BBC 2010 end credits ;)
The BBC F1 and Top Gear production teams always choose the most appropriate background music.

Fixed. :)

Re-watching those outros and intros by the BBC, it just makes me all the sadder about the BBC reducing their coverage of F1. They really have ignited the sport for a lot of viewers with their creative professionalism.

Hey, I just wanted to chime in here and say FUCK YOU! FUCK FORMULA 1!. I'm staying in Singapore for a month and because there's some Formula 1 event here near the end of the month, the rates for the hostel where I'm staying go up for a couple days (mandated by the country). Fuck that! :(

PS. I don't even like Formula 1 but I'll most likely go and take a look at the race. It's in the city and not a separate track (which I guess all of you already know, durr) so I can see it without even taking the subway to somewhere else :D

Singapore is a brilliant spectacle, there's no excuse to be in Singapore and not watch the race

Was it at Spa? Which session was it?

Noo, that was like, Australia last year, when Senna & Chandhok were still in the HRT.

I know! But I came to study and because of the F1 the price of where I'm staying went up for those days :(

Anyway, the track is around the streets in Marina Bay, which is a goddam awesome area (close to the Marina Bay Sands, dayumm!), so I will go have a look :p

Just looked through the last 10 pages of the thread and seen this. How much did that set you back Dilly?

It was €560. There's also a white version which obviously costs less, but this design has 7 colors and some fade ins.

Love it though, it fits perfectly and it weighs next to nothing. It looks racey and it has fittings for tear-offs and everything.

Can't wait to try it next week at the indoor karting and 15 september at my second 100 Miles in Genk.

I was guessing it would be around €500-600 anyway I am a big fan of the design you chose, colours go well and the design isn't too 'busy'.

Make sure you post pics of it in action :)

Thanks, I'll try to get some pics next month. :)

I immediately fell in love with the design when I saw it, just for the exact same reasons you mentioned.

This one is certainly one of the sweetest featuring Murray Walker.

So not Bahrain of last year? Was it Practice 1 in Australia? I want to download it to watch it as I'm sure it's not on YouTube.

I'm fairly certain it was one of the flyaway races before the European races were under way, I don't exactly remember which race it was though.

But Senna's had failed or he had spun or something, because he was in the the gravel trap and the camera zoomed in on his helmet with the visor up and Brundle said it was 'scary' because he looks almost identical to Ayrton.

Feel free to correct me, but I'm sure that's right.

I think it was Bahrain when Bruno retired on Lap 19. Unfortunately, the only footage I have of that was of OneHD Australian coverage when the presenters were talking over the BBC team. I hated when they used to do that.

I will have to find a place to download the race from, thanks a lot. :)

Which brings me to my second question, where can I download older F1 seasons? I'd love to watch some F1 between each race. :p

I remember watching that BBC F1 2010 outro, once it ended you suddenly get hit with "no more f1 for 5 months" :( :( :(
But thanks to Leunam, we had the great off-season thread. That reminds me once again, I really love this community here. :D

Is it really that expensive? I thought I could get myself into some area on the streets where I could see at least the cars pass by without having to pay a ticket :p

Yeah, I'm that cheap :D

Then again Goldrusher, it depends what your definition of expensive is. :p

I'd pay that much money to go to a GP, but I don't have friends who are into F1 but also not uninterested in the sport so that's quite lame. If it was cheaper, maybe I'd get them along.

Iv been rewatching some of the races of last year and their bbc forums, and i noticed that there is a key difference between some of the drivers.

For one, there are the kind of drivers that when they retire, they put the car in a bad spot that ultimatly leads to a safety car ( also this year ) like shumi, alonso and hamilton.

And people that put it in a nice and easy place for the racing stewards.

And man was vettel unlucky sometimes last year, i think this year is to make up for last year.

I dont know man. I think you might be imagining that. Most of the time, drivers dont get much of a choice in the matter of where they park their car when they retire. And of the times they do, I rarely see anybody who seems to deliberately position their car in a dangerous manner.
