So next race dont bother with qualifying just save the tires and have a great race! Im not sure webber would of done better if he went through all 3 qualifying stages, saving those 3 sets of softs paid off big time in the end.

Only one driver DNF, this is also very unusual. Even HRTs did manage to finish the race.

And even that one DNF could have been easily avoided. Actually, it shouldn't have happened at all.

I couldn't remember seeing a race where everyone finished, but after some googling I found out there were only two in the history of F1: the 1961 Dutch Grand Prix and the 2005 Italian Grand Prix. (Not counting races like the 2005 USA GP where there wasn't a full field on start)

aside from technical failures i think that's a byproduct of DRS. It's relatively safe to overtake with drs without risking any collision of spinning out of corners etc, so most overtaking attempts are concentrated at the DRS zone now.

So, anyone else impressed with Heikki? Was a great race for Team Lotus, definitely on an upwards trajectory and hopefully their blown diffuser will make it in time for Spain and they will give Sauber and Williams some good competition.

Yeah, me definitely. Although I did not see him during the raise. From what information I gathered he drove a very solid race.

I like Lotus. I like Heikki. All the best to them.

Up 11 places to 8th. BOOM!

I unfortunately slept through most of the race (I didn't sleep last night), and even after watching through the forum, I still don't have much of an idea of what actually happened, but the consensus seems to be that it was a genuinely good race so I'm happy.

Gained one spot. Should have gone Mer/STR, would have gone to third.

Very good race. One of the best in recent memory. Its still weird to me though how big a difference there is between relatively even cars when there is a tire differential + kers + drs or even just a tire differential.

I am curious to see what kind of penalties come down, if any.

Massa was amazing today. Unfortunately the 2 stop strategy didn't work out. He could be 5th or even 4th if he had made 3 stops. Good to see him running fast again.

But the best one of the race was definitely Webber! What a fire in the ass!

Great race. Amazing drive by Webber. Seems if he wants to get podiums he needs to go out in Q1.

Saving a few sets of the best tire sure seems to have worked wonders for him and a couple of others.

I fail at math once again. Hit 600 so I'm pleased and continued my gradual pace up the standings. Had STR not shit the bed this race it would have been great.

league wise we did pretty good

I thought about you when I noticed you had picked RBR and Webber qualified 18th. But you did pretty well in the race.

That said, I can't believe we are in range to buy RBR already though. Within 2-3 more races we may even touch RBR/RBR if people manage money well and get bets right.

It would be fun to watch if he starts beating Alonso on every race. That would turn Ferrari garage into ticking timebomb, because we all know that Alonso want and demands to be clear number one in the team.

Massa will not be quicker than Alonso through the duration of the season.

True! xD

Someone needs to do that. That arrogant clown...

He was in two of tree races. Who knows...

In Malaysia he was not faster than Alonso, had he not crashed into Hamilton he would have been comfortably ahead of Massa. When Massa carries Ferrari like Alonso did last season then we can start talking about who is better.

Exactly. So many Alonso haters.

Oh, but you are forgetting that in Malaysia, Massa overtook Alonso in the first lap, and was just behind because of an error in his team's first pit stop.

EDIT: and Alonso could not keep Massa's pace while he was behind him.

Nobody is saying who's better. I'm just saying the facts: Massa was better than Alonso in the last two races. Prove that I'm wrong, please.

It doesn't matter anyway because as soon as Massa gets close to outdoing Alonso he'll probably end up running out of fuel, only having three tyres screwed on etc in a series of unfortunate events.

Never forget: "Alonso is faster than you!"

Team orders are allowed this year.

I can't believe people are forgetting the Massa that lost the WDC by one point, even after his shameful performance in 2010.

Massa deserves more credit than he gets imo, but he's still a long way shy of Alonso.

What a race. Wow.

Alonso failing makes me smile; I just wish Vettel's tyres totally died so then it was Hammy 1st, Webber 2nd, Button 3rd.

That still makes me chuckle every time I see and hear it for some reason.

I tried finding that great image of Alonso and Massa walking and Massa is in front I think and has this sad look on his face. Perfectly captioned with that radio transmission.

I still love the grin Webber had on his face in the post-race conference. What he said was amazing, too. No way in hell Vettel could have done the same thing had he been in the same position.

Well, he probably could, but possibly would've taken out a few guys in the process.

I'm amazed Webber didn't. He's got a bit of a reputation for crashing when he finds himself out of position.

Wow! I just finished watching the race on my DVR. I watched the first 22 laps this morning. I've been a casual F1 fan the last 3-4 years. I have watched all 3 races this year. I find it so much more exciting. Unbelievable race by Mark Webber! I thought he did a great job last weekend without KERS but this race, unbelievable!

OMFG HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH
What an incredibly awesome race, but I have a question for you guys:

Which do you enjoy better Formula One racing or Indy Car racing?

I watched an Izod Indy car race a few weeks back at Long Beach here on ABC TV, and it didn't really seem all that exciting compared to what I witnessed last night. So which is more exciting to you, and which is more popular around the world?
