Right, Webber sets a very decent time to finish the practice session, goes #1.Articate said:Schumie just did his personal best on 5-10 laps old tyres.
EDIT: Webber, woooh! Bed! G'night ;>

You could overhear various chatter from the teams when the camera was up close. Very cool.

Has their 2011 car done any test mileage at all?
I literally only watch F1, endurance races, and the Super Bowl.dubc35 said:The F1 season is one of the few times that I wish I had cable to watch it on Speed.
If you are West Coast hit up a sports bar for the race at least. No other sports on at the time, so you should be able to get the race on the biggest screen and on the audio channel (I do this for EPL games when I can on Sat/Sun mornings when I really want to watch them since I don't have FSC).dubc35 said:The F1 season is one of the few times that I wish I had cable to watch it on Speed. There are many options online and I use one of them. I generally utilize the BBC feed for it and miss Varsha and Hobbs though.
Shit, I wish F1 was as universally accepted as a "sport" as, say, football. Going to some random pub with a bunch of people, getting pissed and watching a good quali session or race would be awesome... but it'll never happen (at least, not in Australia :/ ).rhfb said:If you are West Coast hit up a sports bar for the race at least. Like I said, it kinda depends if there is other stuff on at the time. Can't watch EPL games during college football/nfl season since all the tvs are on those games, but I could take over the tv for the race on Sat night if I wanted. Nothing else worth watching at 10PM on ESPN, so they will gladly turn the channel. Others at the bar and sitting in the booths can get into it too, not realizing what they have been missing!Shaneus said:Shit, I wish F1 was as universally accepted as a "sport" as, say, football. RBR looks like it is glued to the tarmacWorriedCitizen said:RBR seem to be in a class of their own. Ferrari and Mercedes looked fast too but going by the onboards no other car goes around the track as smooth and stable as the Red Bull.

Good to be waking up to the noise of 18,000 RPM monsters.
Looks like the usual top 3 are doing the business already. I'm suprised at McLaren in FP2, seem to have hooked it up for once.

Well, it's only FP2, and the times could still go anywhere, but it's nice to see McLaren competative.Lucius86 said:So I wake up and McLaren are the fastest in P2? Wow.
McLaren biggest sandbaggers ever lol
I'm more hoping that it'll come down to driving style more than the cars themselves with the tyre usage now a serious factor. Fingers crossed that's the case.Stop It said:Well, it's only FP2, and the times could still go anywhere, but it's nice to see McLaren competative.
We'll see how tomorrow goes, and I still expect an RBR on pole, but I'm more confident that it wont be the Red Bull and Ferrari show come Sunday.
