That would be welcome. It would be damn sight better than Valencia.
I prefer Barcelona to leave the calendar. xD

At least Valencia is a cool/good looking "street" circuit. :)

Personally, I think F1 should return to Jerez and also the new Motorland Aragon circuit should be given a chance.

"Track" in an F1 thread has a completely different primary meaning than what you meant. "Music" or "song" would've been more clear.
Ah ok sorry about that, it didn't occur to me. I've been searching spotify for all tracks named Istanbul lol

S. L. might have a link to the F1 forum to those outside of the UK but the only link I can find is the BBC iPlayer.

Maybe you can use a proxy or something to get on it. Not sure.

The song is the first 15 seconds or so of the F1 Forum. It's like a trance song or something.

Whoa, didn't knew this one. Seems really nice!

Valencia's circuit (not the street one) would be interesting too...

For the first time ever, I've actually rewatched an F1 race. China, high-def (cheers Usenet) and completely free of interruption. Will probably be my favourite race of the year, I reckon.

Looks like Sutil could be in serious trouble with after an incident in a bar after the Turkish GP.
Word is he was in a fight with one if the owners of LRGP.

Sutil?! Adrian Sutil? As in, the least manly man in the history of manly men, Adrian Sutil? I wonder if he punches like he runs...

Sorry, it was after the Chinese GP.
The guy he allegedly attacked had serious injuries and scaring on his neck afterwards.

Why do you guys hate Shumacher so much?
End of the 1994 season
End of the 1997 season
Stealing his teammate's car if it was better
Allowing Ferrari to get away with team orders
Parking his car at Rascasse during qualifying
Unnecessarily putting other drivers in danger
Etc...

I liked him at first but was getting more and more frustrated with him until this happened. That sealed it for me not to be his fan ever again. It was a cheap, dangerous, unsportsmanlike move and he did not even deny it.

Same as the arranged crash in Singapore a few years ago. It really cemented my dislike of Flavio.

Pirelli to introduce 'super hard' tyre in Barcelona

Pirelli will race their new development tyre for the first time in the Spanish Grand Prix.

The tyre is supposed to last three to four laps longer than the current hard tyre, which should reduce the number of pit stops drivers have to make.

However the tyre manufacturer has not confirmed whether it will be used for any further races. The new tyre will take the place of the current 'hard' tyre and use the same silver colouring.

A Pirelli spokesperson told F1 Fanatic they decided against giving the tyre a different name as they wanted to keep the same names linked to the same colours.

Pirelli also announced their tyre allocations for the Canadian, European and British Grands Prix.

In Canada the teams will use Pirelli's softest two compounds, as they also will in Monaco. Pirelli said the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve "has similar characteristics to Monaco in terms of grip and traction, which is why the same nominations of soft and super soft have been made."

The medium tyre will be used for the first time in the European Grand Prix. After Spain, the hard tyre will be used next in Silverstone, though Pirelli have not decided whether to take the original or new hard tyre.

Just got around to watching the Turkish GP last night. They got that DRS zone way wrong because the overtakes were too easy. I really enjoy how much the different packs of cars are able to run with each other though. Having meaningful battles throughout what seems like the entire GP with drivers fighting for position in the last laps is really great.

Button and Hamilton squabbling at the beginning of the race was good stuff and the tyres continue to provide their value in entertainment. More pit stops are never a bad thing IMO. There really doesn't seem to be that much difference between the drivers that are notoriously hard on the tyres and the ones that are easier. The degradation is pretty similar.

Sutil injures Lotus Renault CEO Eric Lux in brawl
Posted: Wednesday May 11th 2011, 17:44 GMT
Reports are circulating in the German press that Adrian Sutil has injured Renault CEO Eric Lux in a fight after the Chinese Grand Prix. Sutil was accompanying Lewis Hamilton at a night club to celebrate the Britain's victory. Sutil is said to have had an argument with Lux in which Sutil's glass cut Eric Lux neck. The argument was reportedly about the fact that there wasn't an empty table at the club.

Sutil has released a statement in which he explains the situation: "After the race on April 17th I visited an establishment. At this establishment, which I didn't visit in any official capacity, I injured another person in a very unfortunate accident. I regret the incident and have obviously apologized."

"Because this happened in my personal life, and doesn't directly involve my job as a Formula 1 driver, I ask that you understand that I won't further elaborate on the issue."

Although details of what exactly happened are scarce Lux is said to have visited a hospital where he got stitches. Last weekend he was still wearing a bandage on his neck. Reports indicate that Eric Lux and Adrian Sutil have resolved the issue in private.
