After the race in China I attended an event as a private person. At this event I did an unfortunate thing and completely unintentionally injured another person. I deeply regret the incident and apologized accordingly

"422race.com is now able to reveal the details of the event: the person involved in the brawl with the Force India driver is Eric Lux, the number two of Genii Capital, an investment fund that owns the Lotus team Renault GP and the right arm of team president Gerard Lopez. Observers have noted in the paddock several wounds on the throat of Lux at the last weekend in Istanbul and a team spokesman confirmed the incident.
"I can confirm that on the evening of Sunday after the Grand Prix there was an incident involving Eric Lux, Capital of the Genii," he told 422race.com. "Lotus Renault GP, however, not in a position to make any comment because it is a private matter between Eric and the other person. " And the other person to whom the spokesperson refers to, but being very careful not to name it, it's Adrian Sutil.
The brawl happened at the club M1NT Sunday night. Some people have noticed this in a hurry Lux make their way through the crowd coming out of a private with his neck bleeding and frightened expression. Seconds later, Lewis Hamilton emerged from the same small room, surrounded by his bodyguards. Our sources have not been able to confirm if his friend Adrian Sutil was with him but after a few seconds, entering the same VIP room, there was no sign of him.
Nothing is known about the reasons for the punch, even if Sutil would have run away from China shortly after to avoid legal problems in this regard. An official spokesman for the FIA, however, confirmed to 422race.com that the Federation is investigating the matter and that no action will be taken on in respect of Sutil. A substantial "no comment" even by the Force India, who have declared our microphones through a spokesman: "It 's a private matter between the parties involved and we have no information on it, so we do not intend to make any comment."
Lewis Hamilton had to be escorted from a nightclub after a brawl involving Adrian Sutil, the Force India driver, and a senior official of the Lotus Renault team.
The 2008 world champion was at Downing Street for a photoshoot with David Cameron, the Prime Minister, on Wednesday afternoon as details emerged of an alleged confrontation between the usually mild-mannered Sutil, one of Hamiltons best friends in Formula One, and Eric Lux, chief executive of Genii Capital, which owns the Lotus Renault squad.
It is understood the fight broke out in the MINT nightclub in Shanghai last month as Hamilton celebrated his first victory of the season at the Chinese Grand Prix. Eyewitnesses say they saw Lux fleeing a private VIP room containing Formula One revellers with blood streaming from his neck. Seconds later, Hamilton was escorted from the room by nightclub security guards. McLaren confirmed that Hamilton was not involved and calmly went on to play golf the day after the incident.
One witness who saw the incident said last night: Lewis had no idea what was happening. Adrian and Eric were arguing in German and the next thing it was happening. Lewis did not even see it because it went off so quickly, but he thought it was better to get out of the way and he was quite upset when he was told what had happened.
Both the Lotus Renault team and Force India are treating the incident as a private matter, while the FIA, the governing body, knows the details but will not be taking action. There was also no police action with Sutil and the rest of Formula One flying out of Shanghai to prepare for the race last Sunday in Turkey.
Sutil is regarded as one of the most polite and even-tempered drivers in Formula One. The son of professional musicians, the German is a pianist, reputedly of concert standard, and is well liked among many in the paddock. Sutil is one of Hamiltons coterie of close friends but the Englishman rarely drinks, even after tumultuous victories such as the one he took against the odds in China.
Hamilton was back at work for McLaren yesterday with Jenson Button, his team-mate, launching the UNs Decade of Action for Road Safety alongside the Prime Minister. But critics were already lining up to criticise the use of two men paid millions to drive at high speed, while both have committed high-profile driving offences.
Button has been caught for speeding, both in Britain and abroad.
Hamilton suffered intense criticism from government ministers in Australia after he was caught hooning smoking his rear tyres in what is known as a burnout after Friday practice for the 2010 Australian Grand Prix. A repentant Hamilton was fined almost £300.

I dislike Alonso more than any other F1 driver (beating even Michael) but I don't think your claim is valid.Foliorum Viridum said:There isn't the slightest chance in hellll that Alonso won't fuck anything he gets the chance to.

Ah. I wonder if Webber is ever considering being more aggressive during qualifying. Surely he must see footage of how Seb drives and on what sort of corners he can improve on. Unless he just plays it a bit safe, knowing that with the car he can still pretty much get on the first two rows.AcridMeat said:As Leunam said, carried more speed into the first two sectors of the lap and was earlier on the power. It was the back straight/3rd sector Webber gained some time back from late braking but he went a bit wide, still had a nice line going on the exits.

I have a really bad feeling that Webber will go out *exactly* the same way. He just hit a supreme team far earlier in his F1 career than Ruebens did, but otherwise it looks like a carbon copy. *This* close to winning one, but that's it.
Prove me wrong, Mark.
Rubens is a B Driver, much like Massa and probably Webber. Good, experienced, lots of knowledge, but just not good enough for the WDC. They're good Nr 2 drivers for the younger and faster team-mates.AcridMeat said:While I agree, I'm supremely bummed he didn't get the championship with Brawn GP.
